The arrival of Industry 4.0 era has profoundly changed the industrial structure of home appliance manufacturing industry.The continuous research and development and application of high and new technologies such as cloud computing,big data,Internet of Things and artificial intelligence have gradually cultivated new consumption habits and consumer demand.At the same time,as China’s economic development enters a new normal of slower growth,the market demand of traditional white appliances tends to be saturated.The white electricity market is in more urgent need of upgrading.In this context,the home appliance industry shows the Pareto effect that the stronger the innovation-driven,and the traditional profit model can no longer meet the needs of the expansion and development of home appliance enterprises.Therefore,the transformation and upgrading of profit model has become the only way for the business development of home appliance enterprises.It is particularly important to explore the profit model transformation measures of industry leaders in the era of industry 4.0.Based on the Slywotzky profit model theory and Balanced Scorecard theory,this paper applies literature analysis,case analysis and comparative analysis method to study the profit model transformation measures for home appliance leader Haier Zhijia in the context of industry 4.0 and evaluate the effect of the transformation.First,apply the five elements of Slywotzky profit model theory to analyze the traditional profit model from five aspects(profit point,profit object,profit source,profit leverage,and profit barrier)and explore its disadvantages in the industry 4.0 era.Secondly,it analyzes the reasons,conditions and specific measures for Haier Zhijia to transform its profit model in the era of industry 4.0.Thirdly,combined with the theory of balanced scorecard,it evaluates the effect of Haier Zhijia profit model transformation from financial and non-financial perspectives.Finally,the paper explores five enlightenments for the transformation of the profit model of household appliance manufacturing enterprises in the era of Industry4.0: improving the core R&D capability,optimizing the enterprise management model,upgrading the product supporting services,building a platform to reduce costs and increase efficiency,and digital analysis personalized customization.It also puts forward four suggestions for the transformation of Haier Smart Home’s profit model in the era of Industry 4.0,including the rational allocation of corporate funds,the rational use of credit policies,the use of online marketing to cultivate users and the focus on corporate core customers.It is hoped to provide reference for the transformation of profit model of other household appliance manufacturers.
