Application Of Montessori Education Theory In The Interior Design Of Early Childhood Daycare Center

Early childhood education is an important part of basic education.In recent years China has been actively promoting the "all-round development" education concept,which entails paying more attention to the physical and mental health of children in order to maintain a better environment for them to grow up,thereby laying an educational foundation for all-round development of children.Day-care centers for infant play a crucial role in the development of young children as a place for early social learning.Therefore,the design of the interior space of a day-care center needs to be handled more seriously.The design of the interior space of day-care centers should not only meet the basic function,but also follow the rules of childrens psychological and physiological growth.Montessori education is a more advanced education theory that is consistent with the concept of all-round development of young children in early childhood education and conforms to the current educational trend.It also advocates the enhancement of young childrens emotions,skills,senses,abilities,and mentality in the educational environment so is accepted in all professions.This paper analyzes the current problem in the interior design of Montessori day-care centers in China from the perspective of interior design,combined with visits and research,and offers relevant solutions.Furthermore,the author summarizes the excellent design cases of spaces for young children at home and abroad and explores design methods that can combine Montessori education with the interior design of early childhood day-care centers,using the design guidelines of respecting the physiological and psychological needs of the children to create a "prepared environment" for the children so that they can grow and develop in a better environment.
