Research On Architectural Design Of Kindergarten Based On Montessori Education Thought

Montessori education method is one of the many preschool education methods,with a relatively complete educational theory system,which is conducive to cultivating children’s independence and concentration.Montessori kindergartens that implement the Montessori preschool education model are all over many provinces and cities in China.However,the spatial architecture of many Kindergartens has not been closely combined with Montessori’s educational thought.Therefore,how to combine montessori educational thought with kindergarten architectural design in the current social background,so that the kindergarten environment can provide good experience for children and promote their development,is worth thinking and discussing.This study aims to expound the architectural design characteristics of Montessori kindergarten by analyzing the educational theory of Montessori and combining with the architectural design theory of kindergarten,and explore the architectural design strategy of Montessori kindergarten that meets the requirements of Montessori education through practical verification.This study was carried out through literature and theoretical research,interdisciplinary research,field investigation and observation interviews,case analysis,and practical verification.First of all,the paper makes a literature review on the domestic and foreign research on Montessori education,architectural design research of Montessori kindergartens,comparative research between Montessori kindergartens and traditional kindergartens,laying a solid foundation for the overall layout,functional scale and sensory environment research of Montessori kindergartens.Secondly,by sorting out the theoretical content of Montessori education method,the paper summarizes the montessori educational environment view,and through field research and case analysis,proposes the architectural design characteristics of kindergarten adapted to montessori education system.Then,combined with theoretical analysis,investigation,observation and case analysis,the paper expounds the architectural design of kindergarten based on Montessori education thought from three aspects of overall layout,functional scale and sensory environment,and puts forward the corresponding architectural design strategy.Then,the paper will summarize the Architectural design strategy of Montessori kindergarten and gongle Kindergarten engineering project,verify the theory through practice,and put forward targeted thinking combined with the feedback.To sum up,this study puts forward the following conclusions: The architectural layout of Montessori kindergarten should construct an interconnected spatial structure in line with children’s nature and activity needs.The functional scale of Montessori kindergarten should be designed in combination with the requirements of Montessori characteristic field curriculum and mixed age.The sensory environment of Montessori kindergarten can be designed according to the sensory education needs with Montessori characteristics,and it should also assist children in learning in the field of science and culture.
