Research On The Comparison Between China And Germany About The Green Transport Planning In The Historic Urban Area

Issued in 2019,the latest ‘Standard of Conservation Planning for Historic City’advocates that historical conservation areas should adopt traffic calming design,and guide the protection and renewal of historical conservation areas to combine with the general urban traffic planning.While in the 1970 s,the familiar method was adopted in Germany on the conservation and renewal of historic urban areas,gaining widely success and identification.This paper will compare the differences between two countries on the background and policies about the green transportation in historic urban areas of China and Germany,and compare the differences on their enforcements and efforts in Tsingtao and Dresden,as their case cities,aiming to obtain the successful experiences in Germany,bringing the references of Green Transportation Planning in Historic Urban Areas in China.Firstly,this paper summarizes researches related to the green transport planning of historic urban areas both home and abroad,and summarises the goals,the behavioural characteristics,and the needs about the traffic modes of green transportation.As for the case study between China and Germany,the paper will firstly analyse and compare their backgrounds and contributions on legislations of green transport in historic urban areas between China and Germany,and then on the general plannings,the constructions,and the assessments about the quality of sustainable transports between case cities in China and Germany,which brings the fundamental of the introduction and the comparison about the structure.Secondly,this paper introduces the background and the strategies of Green Transportation Planning in Historic Urban Areas between China and Germany.Taking their case cities,Tsingtao,and Dresden as examples,to introduce their background and methods of Green Transportation Planning in Historic Urban Areas,analyse the integration of green transports with historic monuments and position of interests(POIs),aiming at summarizing the characters of the city.Then this paper will assess the qualities of green transports in the two cities via the same evaluating methods,brings the evidences on the comparison of the Green Transportation Planning in Historic Urban Areas between China and Germany.Finally,this paper will take the Green Transportation Planning in Historic Urban Areas between China and Germany into comparison about their background,policies,and the implementation in case cities,aiming to get the differences between China and Germany.Last but not the least,the paper will summarise the ‘Cell of Green Transport’ in historic cities,which is the fundamental units of green transports in historic urban areas of Germany,as well as the regulations on the planning of green transports,bringing the reference on the Green Transportation Planning in Historic Urban Areas in the future of China.
