| New urbanization consumes a large amount of energy resources in the process of rapid construction.On the one hand,energy is essential as the basis of development;on the other hand,pollution generated by energy utilization will limit the quality of development.At the same time,the capital,labor,industrial optimization and other factors generated by the new urbanization will also affect the energy ecological efficiency.As the main battlefield of ecological priority and green development,the Yangtze River Economic Belt has great restrictions on energy consumption in the development of new urbanization.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the coordinated development level of new urbanization and energy ecological efficiency for promoting the high-quality construction of new urbanization and sustainable social development.With 11 provinces and cities along the Yangtze River Economic Belt as the evaluation object,a new urbanization evaluation system is constructed from the five levels of population,economy,space,society and environment.Capital,labor and energy are taken as inputs,and economic development,social development and pollution emission are taken as outputs of energy eco-efficiency.The entropy method,super-efficiency EBM model and Malmquist index are used to calculate the new urbanization level and energy eco-efficiency from 2009 to 2019 respectively.The changes of the two systems are analyzed in time and space,and the coupling coordination degree of the two systems is studied by combining the coupling coordination model.Based on the analysis of spatio-temporal differences,spatial autocorrelation model was introduced to reflect spatial agglomeration characteristics.The results show that:(1)From 2009 to 2019,the overall new-type urbanization in the Yangtze River Economic Belt showed an increasing trend year by year,with significant regional differences.The lower reaches had the highest level,while the upper reaches had the lowest level but the largest growth rate.With the continuous development in provinces and cities,the gap between regions was gradually narrowing.From 2009 to2019,the annual average of energy eco-efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Belt was less than 0,and only the lower reaches realized regional efficiency,but the efficiency of all provinces showed a steady rise during the study period.Malmquist index analysis showed that for the middle and lower reaches,the positive impact of technological progress was greater than that of technical efficiency.However,for the upper reaches of the Yangtze River,the impact of technological efficiency was greater.(2)From 2009 to 2019,the coupling degree of new urbanization and energy eco-efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Belt continued to fluctuate upward,and remained in a highly coupled state during the study period.The coordination status developed from near imbalance to intermediate coordination,presenting a distribution pattern of high in the lower reaches and low in the upper reaches.In 2019,all provinces and cities reached the coordination status,among which Jiangsu Province had the highest coordination degree and reached the quality coordination level.Guizhou Province and Yunnan Province have the lowest degree of coordination,which is barely coordinated.(3)From 2009 to 2019,the coupling coordination degree of new urbanization and energy eco-efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Belt was obvious spatial correlation,mainly divided into three categories: high-high concentration,low-low concentration and no significance.High value agglomeration areas were distributed in the lower reaches,low value agglomeration areas were distributed in the upper reaches and no significance areas were mainly distributed in the middle reaches.There were also a few scattered in the lower and upper reaches.Moreover,the number of provinces in each agglomeration area had little change during the study period,indicating that the coupling coordination degree of provinces and cities showed a similar development trend.Based on the research results,this paper argues that the coupling coordination degree should be promoted from the following three aspects: Adjusting the layout of the development of new urbanization to improve the development level;Promoting the efficient and clean use of energy to achieve energy eco-efficiency and effectiveness;Playing the driving role of high-value provinces in promoting coordinated development of low-value provinces.Figure 22 Table 14 Reference107... |
