Research On The Quality Of Riverside Public Space In Central Plains City Based On Place Theory

As one of the important types of urban public space,Riverside public space is not only a place for citizens to get close to natural water bodies and carry out public activities,but also a window to highlight the characteristics of the city.This paper focuses on the quality evaluation of the riverside public space in the Central Plains city,cuts into the public space research with the place theory,and extracts the spatial quality evaluation elements such as the material elements,spiritual elements,human activities and regional characteristics of the riverside space from the place perspective;Combing and summarizing the characteristics and types of the riverside public space in central plains cities,on this basis,using the research method of combining pspl survey method and SD method,combined with quantitative and qualitative analysis,we strive to make an objective and scientific evaluation of the riverside public space in Central Plains Cities from multiple perspectives.The focus of this paper is to establish the quality evaluation system of riverside public space in central plains cities,and select the riverside space of Shali River in Luohe City for empirical research.Based on the full interpretation of the case,this paper uses the public space evaluation system constructed in this paper to evaluate the space quality,summarizes and refines the main problems,and then puts forward targeted strategies and suggestions for improving the quality of public space.Firstly,it discriminates and defines the concepts of Central Plains city,Riverside public space and place,analyzes and interprets the relationship between place and space,extracts the elements of public space quality evaluation from the perspective of place,and analyzes and summarizes the relevant research methods of space quality evaluation(pspl survey method,SD method and the combination of the two).Secondly,on this basis,it constructs and optimizes the riverside public space evaluation system based on the place theory,and puts forward the evaluation index,evaluation process and evaluation suggestions.Specifically,it includes: extracting the quality evaluation elements of the riverside public space in the Central Plains city,screening the evaluation indicators through expert consultation and public feedback,gradually optimizing the quality evaluation system of the riverside public space in the Central Plains,and evaluating the evaluation indicators.Thirdly,taking the Shali river riverside space in Luohe City as the case study object,this paper makes an empirical evaluation on the riverside public space in the Central Plains city.Using the evaluation system proposed above,this paper analyzes and evaluates the quality of the current public space along the Shali River,combs the main problems existing in the public space,and then puts forward strategic suggestions for improving the quality of the space.On the one hand,it verifies and optimizes the feasibility of the evaluation index and system,and on the other hand,it provides reference for the improvement of case space quality.The purpose of this paper is to sort out the main characteristics and types of riverside public space in central plains cities,analyze and summarize the current problems and difficulties of riverside public space construction through case studies,and put forward relevant strategies and suggestions in order to continuously improve the quality of riverside public space in central plains cities,activate the vitality of riverside public space,optimize the quality evaluation system of riverside public space in Central Plains,and put forward universal evaluation methods.
