The Study On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Labor Rights And Interests Protection Of Rural Migrant Workers In Construction Industry In Chengdu

With the rapid development of China’s market economy and urbanization,the rural registered population,which accounts for a large proportion of the total population,has gradually begun to move to cities and towns to work.As a traditional labor-intensive industry,the construction industry has absorbed a large number of rural migrant workers and formed a team of migrant workers in the construction industry with Chinese characteristics.However,although governments at all levels have issued a large number of policies and regulations to protect the labor rights and interests of migrant workers,these rural migrant workers in cities cannot enjoy the same labor and security treatment as urban workers due to the large number of employees,low education level,high mobility and other objective factors.Provincial capital of Chengdu in Sichuan province is an important central city,the west in recent years in promoting construction of Chengdu-Chongqing region of economic circle,speed up the construction practice of new development concept park city demonstration area,advance the Tianfu new area and east new district construction,optimization of urban functions and the rapid development in the construction of supporting facilities,summer Universiade will be held in Chengdu.The scale of urban construction continues to expand,so that the construction industry’s demand for migrant workers increases simultaneously.Therefore,solving the problem of protecting the labor rights and interests of migrant workers in the construction industry and meeting the specific goals and internal requirements of realizing a harmonious socialist society have become the key factors to reflect the people-oriented concept in the construction of new urbanization.Taking migrant workers in the construction industry as the research object,this paper conducts a random sampling among migrant workers in construction sites in eight major urban areas of Chengdu,and investigates and analyzes the protection of labor rights and interests of migrant workers in the construction industry in Chengdu by means of questionnaire survey and individual interview.By understanding the current situation of the protection of labor rights and interests of migrant workers in the construction industry in Chengdu,this paper finds out the existing problems in the protection of labor rights and interests of migrant workers in the construction industry in Chengdu,analyzes the causes of the problems,and tries to put forward countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problems,so as to provide reference for the protection of labor legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers in the construction industry in Chengdu.This paper is divided into six parts: The first part is the introduction,mainly on the research background and significance of the paper,research status at home and abroad,research ideas and methods,innovation and shortcomings of the paper,and a review of the research status.The second part is the definition of the concept and theoretical basis,mainly introduces the construction of migrant workers and labor rights and interests related concepts and theoretical basis.The third part designs and implements the questionnaire and individual interview on the protection of labor rights and interests of migrant workers in Chengdu construction industry.The fourth part of Chengdu construction workers labor rights and interests of the status quo and achieved results are expounded.The fifth part analyzes the problems and causes of the protection of labor rights and interests of migrant workers in Chengdu construction industry.The sixth part puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problems existing in the protection of labor rights and interests of migrant workers in Chengdu construction industry.Second,to optimize the wage payment policy for migrant workers;Third,strengthen the implementation of the social insurance system for migrant workers;Four is to adjust the work environment safety and civilization supervision mode;Fifth,strengthen the overall planning of skill training for migrant workers and improve their professionalism;Sixth,we will establish professional and whole-process service agencies for safeguarding rights.
