Analysis Of Household Garbage Classification And Treatment Behavior Of Farmers In Changsha County

With the acceleration of industrialization and rural modernization,the lifestyle of rural residents is increasingly urbanized.However,with more and more industrial products into rural areas,rural environmental problems gradually prominent,especially the phenomenon of garbage village,garbage dam.With the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy,there are more and more demonstration counties of rural household waste classification and resource utilization.However,the classification and treatment of household garbage is complex and comprehensive,and various regions are facing a series of problems.Only a few villages have established a long-term household waste classification system.How to establish a long-term mechanism of rural household garbage classification has become an urgent problem.In the rural household garbage classification and treatment,farmers are the biggest beneficiaries and the most important participants.Therefore,the study of rural household garbage classification behavior is helpful to improve farmers’ participation in household garbage classification and treatment.This paper takes Changsha County,Hunan Province as the research area,and analyzes the current situation of rural household waste classification and treatment in Changsha County.Changsha County follows the principle of gradual advancement,and implements the classification of rural domestic waste in four stages: the preliminary exploration stage,the classification pilot promotion stage,the demonstration leading stage,and the implementation of the domestic waste classification system stage.In this process,Changsha County has continuously improved the rules and systems for the classification and treatment of rural domestic waste,rewards and punishments are clear,incentives are effective,the funding guarantee for the classification and treatment of rural domestic waste is becoming more and more diversified,the operation of garbage classification is becoming more and more market-oriented,and the supervision and assessment are becoming more and more scientific.Eventually All 147 villages(communities)in rural areas have been built into household waste classification and reduction villages,and a system for the classification,collection,transportation,and treatment of household wastes has been established with kitchen waste,recyclables,hazardous waste,and other wastes as the basic types.However,it was found that the villagers’ reward and punishment mechanism for the classification of rural domestic waste in Changsha County is slightly insufficient,the domestic waste classification work of foreign tenants is not in place,and the accuracy of farmers’ domestic waste classification needs to be improved.Through the binary Logistic regression model,the behavior of household garbage classification was analyzed from the four aspects of personal and family characteristics,cognition,attitude,subjective norms and situational characteristics.The results of the model show that age,sense of honor and behavioral choices of neighbors have significant effects on the behavioral choices of household waste classification;The farmers’ understanding of how to classify domestic waste and the publicity of the village committee have a significant impact on the behavior choice of farmers’ domestic waste classification;The attitude of family members has an extremely significant impact on the behavioral choice of household waste classification.In order to promote the classification of domestic waste in rural areas and realize the effective use of domestic waste resources,It is recommended to improve the reward and punishment system for villagers,increase publicity efforts,improve publicity methods,and improve farmers’ awareness of household waste classification;increase the village collective activities of household waste classification and promote the communication between neighbors;establish a village-level honor roll to enhance farmers’ sense of honor to the village collective;effectively strengthen the management and inspection of household waste classification of farmers,enhance the sense of responsibility,and improve the attitude of family members.
