Research On Innovative Design Of Xinjiang Stamp Printed Fabric Pattern Based On Shape Grammar

With a history of thousands of years,Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric is one of the national intangible cultural heritages.Xinjiang’s colorful and distinctive folk culture is an important part of China’s excellent traditional culture.With the national protection and attention to intangible cultural heritage and the development of creative industries,Xinjiang’s die-stamped printed cloth has been revitalized and reappeared in people’s eyes.How to find an innovative design method to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of the intangible cultural heritage through the language of design,and to realize the goal from "localization" to "going out" is a question that needs to be considered at this stage.This thesis proposes a redesign and innovation method for Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric patterns,so that Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric patterns can generate more innovative arrangements while inheriting their own characteristics,thus better responding to the trend of the times and meeting the cultural and aesthetic needs of the modern public.Firstly,based on various research methods,Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric and its patterns are analyzed in terms of related concepts,processes,pattern classification,artistic characteristics,and value embodiment.Secondly,the innovative design of Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric pattern by applying shape grammar is proposed,and the relevant theory of shape grammar and its derivation rules are elaborated.The representative patterns of Xinjiang die-stamped printed cloth are summarized,vectorized and mapped,and then the high-frequency patterns are selected as samples through a questionnaire to demonstrate how to use shape grammar to innovate and redesign the patterns of Xinjiang die-stamped printed cloth.Finally,a shape grammar-based innovative pattern generation software for Xinjiang die-stamped calico was designed to assist designers in using this innovative design method more efficiently,while facilitating the design of Xinjiang die-stamped calico patterns for those who do not have a design background but would like to try it.In order to verify the effectiveness of this innovative design method,the innovative patterns generated by the shape grammar were incorporated into the poster design,illustration design,and packaging design solutions created by the author for preliminary exploration.After various practices,we can learn that the innovative patterns created by the shape grammar not only continue the main features of the traditional patterns,but also explore the creative design language,and verify that the application of this innovative design method on Xinjiang die-stamped fabric patterns is successful and has certain feasibility,and also serves as a reference and model for the transformation of the traditional Xinjiang die-stamped fabric patterns in modern design.The application of shape grammar based Xinjiang die-stamped fabric pattern is successful.The innovative design method of Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric pattern based on shape grammar enables the integration of Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric pattern with modern design,and efficiently and abundantly derives innovative pattern arrangement solutions that meet both modern aesthetics and the genetic characteristics of traditional Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric pattern.The innovative design method of Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric pattern based on shape grammar not only provides a feasible method for the transformation of Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric pattern to modern fashion design,but also provides designers with material sources and design ideas when creating future design works on Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric themes.The combination of shape grammar and Xinjiang die-stamped printed fabric pattern promotes the creative transformation and innovative development of NRM,demonstrates the diversity and richness of NRM culture,enhances the promotion and dissemination of NRM,enables the public to participate widely,thus strengthening cultural self-confidence,promoting ethnic spirit,and adding bricks to create a new situation for the development of NRM dissemination.
