In recent years,social attention to vulnerable groups has gradually increased,and the group of visually impaired children has also entered the public eye.Because of the lack of vision,the cognitive development and information acquisition of visually impaired children are at a disadvantage,and their learning and life are also deeply affected.However,toys play a very important role in the growth of visually impaired children due to their ability to cultivate and cognitive development.However,most of the toys on the market are designed for ordinary children,and there are few toys that meet the needs of visually impaired children and cultivate their lack of abilities.This is very unfavorable to the learning and growth of visually impaired children.Therefore,this project focuses on exploring toys that bring joy to visually impaired children while training and enhancing their sense of touch and hearing.First of all,this paper expounds the theories related to visual impairment,sorts out the perceptual,cognitive and psychological characteristics of visually impaired children,and analyzes and summarizes the sensory compensatory ways of visually impaired children on the basis of investigating their preferences for toys.By combing the relevant content of touch and touch ability,hearing and hearing ability,the training methods of touch and hearing ability are summarized,and the feasibility and compensatory effect of comprehensive training of touch and hearing ability are discussed,which provides support for the investigation and analysis of sensory training toys in the following paper.Secondly,the existing sensory training toys for visually impaired children are investigated,and the advantages and problems of the existing sensory training toys are summarized.Finally,on the basis of the above theoretical research and investigation,the design principles and methods for the touch and hearing training of visually impaired children are proposed.And it is applied to design practice to verify its rationality.This project promotes and develops the cognition of visually impaired children by training and improving their tactile and auditory abilities.Based on the basic characteristics of visually impaired children and user research,the key points of toy demand were summarized,and the importance of touch and hearing ability training for visually impaired children was further clarified through sensory compensation analysis,and the design principles and methods of touch and hearing ability training toys for visually impaired children were put forward,providing new ideas for toy design for visually impaired children.It also provides a new way for the tactile and auditory training of visually impaired children.At the same time,it helps to narrow the gap between visually impaired children and ordinary children’s perception of the world,and let more people pay attention to visually impaired children.
