| At present, urban agglomerations are gradually becoming the main spatial form of carrying development elements in China, and leading the development of urban agglomerations with central cities and driving regional development with urban agglomerations has become a new trend of regional coordinated development. In the development of urban agglomerations, the construction of scientific, reasonable and diversified regional space is an important aspect to realize regional coordination and integration. However, along with the rapid urbanization, the problem of unbalanced distribution of economic, technological, demographic and resource factors within urban agglomerations has emerged, thus restricting the overall quality of regional socio-economic development and highlighting the problem of irrational regional development space. At the same time,as the respective systems between regions become more and more closely connected, the risks of uncertainty faced by the regions become more complex and diverse,so the regional resilience development capacity also needs to be paid much attention in the process of regional integrated development.Based on this, the study of ecological niche, the clarification of the development state and interaction relationship of regional cities, and the study of regional resilience characteristics not only have practical significance for regional sustainable development, but also provide new theoretical and methodological support for regional integration in the new era. This paper takes the twin-city economic circle of Chengdu-Chongqing region as the research object, and on the basis of combing the literature of ecological status theory and regional resilience theory, reveals the regional spatial evolution law and its resilience characteristics from the perspective of urban ecological status, explores the regional spatial interaction, and finally proposes the integrated development strategy of twin-city economic circle of Chengdu-Chongqing region with the goal of improving the level of regional integration. The paper is based on the research idea of "urban ecological status measurement-regional resilience characteristics analysis-optimization measures",and explores the relationship between regional urban ecological status measurement and regional resilience characteristics, aiming to provide some scientific reference and reference for the high-quality development of the region. The main findings are as follows:(1)From the results of the analysis of ecological niche width measurement and regional resilience suitability, the overall trend of the ecological niche width level of regional cities from 2000 to 2020 shows a smooth fluctuation upward.Chengdu and Chongqing are always ranked in the top two cities, and the overall development level of each system as the core cities in the region is much higher than that of other cities in the region. In terms of the suitability characteristics of regional resilience, the regional suitability as a whole shows a positive trend, but due to the simplification of the development level of each city in the region,it is obvious that the development suitability of core cities is better, and the development suitability of secondary peripheral cities needs to be improved.(2)From the results of the ecological niche dissimilarity measure and regional resilience robustness analysis, the dissimilarity indexes of regional cities in economic, resource and social dimensions show an increasing trend during 2000-2020,and the problem of uncoordinated urban development is obvious, especially in the social dimension, and the unbalanced distribution of resources, economic and social factors in space is increasing. There are obvious differences in the level of urban development.Among them, the social ecological niche divergence index gradually becomes the main factor affecting the coordinated development of regional cities over time, and becomes the main aspect limiting the robust development of the regional system, and the improvement of the robustness of the regional system relies more on the improvement of the social dimension.(3)From the results of the ecological niche overlap measure and regional resilience diversity analysis, the comprehensive overlap among cities in the region from 2000 to 2020 shows an obvious polarization between cities. The competition among core cities is fierce, with Chengdu and Chongqing being the two more obvious cities, while the cities with development levels at the secondary edges are competing more with each other, and the overall performance is more fierce competition among cities of the same level. The core cities and secondary cities,on the other hand, have a large development gap, there is an obvious fault in the development energy level, and their inter-city overlap is not high;combined with the diversity characteristics of regional resilience, the interaction between cities of the same development level is more frequent, the core cities are in fierce competition, the development of secondary cities is homogeneous, the functional structure of the regional internal system is high, and the diversity of regional resilience is poor.(4)Optimization measures. The study suggests that in the development of the twin-city economic circle in Chengdu-Chongqing region,it should fully coordinate the development of cities of different levels, actively promote core cities to drive edge cities and realize synergistic integrated development;actively cultivate secondary regional central cities and improve the city scale structure system;further strengthen the regional industrial division of labor;accelerate the construction of regional transportation infrastructure and optimize the flow of various resource factors;break down administrative barriers and enhance the main functions of Chongqing and Chengdu as the main function of the core cities;strengthen the horizontal connection of non-core cities and promote the interconnection of cities within the region. |
