China’s economy is in the stage of high quality development,along with the progress of urbanization,extensive economic development mode no longer meets the requirements of the current era,green innovation,as the combination of innovation-driven and green development,is the necessary measure to achieve the "double carbon" goal,relieve the pressure of resources and environment,and promote sustainable development.In 2019,ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin became a national strategy,and the metropolitan area is an important part of the Yellow River Basin.To study the spatial-temporal pattern evolution characteristics of green innovation level in the metropolitan area of the Yellow River Basin,understand the existing problems of green innovation level in the metropolitan area,and analyze the influencing factors of green innovation level in the metropolitan area.It is of great significance to improve the green innovation level of the metropolitan area of the Yellow River Basin and promote the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.This thesis systematically studies the green innovation level of the Yellow River Basin metropolitan area by combining theory and demonstration.Firstly,the green innovation theory of metropolitan area in the Yellow River Basin is analyzed theoretically by studying the green development theory of metropolitan area,regional green innovation theory and spatial structure of regional green innovation system.On the basis of constructing the comprehensive evaluation index system of urban green innovation,By using entropy method,coupling coordination degree model,kernel density curve,Theil index,coefficient of variation,geographic center of gravity,ellipse of standard deviation,gravity model and other methods,and using Arc GIS 10.2 software for visual expression,the evolution characteristics and spatial pattern were analyzed.Finally,grey relational degree was used to analyze the influencing factors of green innovation in the Yellow River Basin metropolitan area.According to the above analysis,specific countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.The research conclusions are as follows:Green innovation evolution characteristics of the Yellow River Basin metropolitan area.On the whole,the green innovation level of the Yellow River Basin metropolitan area showed an overall upward trend over time during the study period.From the perspective of the innovation development of each metropolitan area,the green innovation level of each metropolitan area was improved to varying degrees,but the growth rate of green innovation was still different among metropolitan areas.Although the green innovation level of Xining metropolitan area and Yinchuan metropolitan area was low,However,the growth rate of green innovation is the fastest,followed by Qingdao metropolitan area and Zhengzhou metropolitan area,and Hohhot metropolitan area has the slowest growth rate.Spatial differentiation of green innovation in the Yellow River Basin metropolitan area.On the whole,the green innovation level of the Yellow River Basin metropolitan area showed obvious East-west differences during the study period.From the perspective of each metropolitan area,the green innovation development in Qingdao metropolitan area and Jinan metropolitan area was relatively balanced,while the development in Taiyuan metropolitan area and Xi ’an metropolitan area was unbalanced,with a large gap between cities,and the green innovation level of core cities was high and growing fast.From the perspective of spatial distribution,the total difference of green innovation in the metropolitan area of the Yellow River Basin presents a changing trend of "first rising,then declining,then rising and then declining".The overall change trend of the total difference is large,and the overall trend of fluctuation is rising.The main source of the difference is the intra-group difference.The difference of green innovation in Jinan metropolitan area,Taiyuan Metropolitan area,Zhengzhou Metropolitan area,Xi ’an metropolitan area and Lanzhou metropolitan area increased,while the difference of green innovation in Qingdao metropolitan area and Yinchuan metropolitan area decreased.The green innovation center of Jinan Metropolitan area,Qingdao Metropolitan area,Zhengzhou metropolitan area and Taiyuan metropolitan area moved to the southwest direction,and the green innovation center of Xi ’an Metropolitan area,Yinchuan metropolitan area,Lanzhou metropolitan area and Hohhot metropolitan area moved to the northeast direction.From the perspective of spatial correlation,the gravitational strength between cities is increasing,and the green innovation connection built around core cities is strengthened.Jinan metropolitan area,Qingdao Metropolitan area,Zhengzhou Metropolitan area and Xi ’an metropolitan area are enhanced due to the enhanced driving effect of core cities and the large number of cities in the metropolitan area and close connection network,while the upstream metropolitan area is weak due to the weak driving effect of cities.The gravity between metropolitan areas is weak and the network is sparse.Analysis on influencing factors of green innovation in metropolitan area of Yellow River Basin.From the perspective of each metropolitan area,the influencing factors of green innovation are different.The improvement of green innovation level in Jinan metropolitan area and Qingdao metropolitan area mainly depends on the economic benefits and green innovation culture of green innovation,while the improvement of green innovation level in Zhengzhou metropolitan area,Taiyuan metropolitan area,Hohhot metropolitan area and Xi ’an metropolitan area mainly depends on green knowledge,technology innovation and green innovation culture.The improvement of green innovation level in Lanzhou metropolitan area Yinchuan metropolitan area and Xining metropolitan area mainly depends on green innovation system and green knowledge and technology innovation.In addition to the above factors,national green innovation policies,global green innovation
