Research On The Design Of Age-appropriate Pharmaceutical Packaging Based On Information Visualization

The situation of aging population in today’s society is getting more and more serious,and the elderly are a huge group of drug users and have a high dependence on drugs.At present,most of the pharmaceutical packaging designs in the market are generic designs.Since the visual system and physical functions of the elderly gradually deteriorate with age,the problem of poor visibility of pharmaceutical packaging information arises when using drugs.This research uses information visualization to solve the problem of visibility of drug packaging information for the elderly,combining the visual characteristics and reading habits of the elderly,improving the visibility of drug information and the safety of drug use for the elderly,and improving the experience of the elderly when using drugs,and conducting research on the visualization design of drug packaging information.This paper takes the basic needs,visual needs and safety needs of the elderly for drug packaging as the starting point,and carries out the visual visualization design of the commonly used drugs for the elderly.Firstly,we provide an overview of drug packaging design and information visualization design,and find out the value function that information visualization can play in drug packaging.Secondly,we investigate the needs of the elderly for drug packaging design,understand the visual thinking and visual characteristics of the elderly,make the drug packaging meet the visual needs of the elderly through information visualization design,and try to avoid the safety accidents of drug use due to drug packaging according to the physical function of the elderly.Again,we study and analyze the information visualization methods of drug packaging design for the elderly,explore the steps,requirements and principles of information visualization in drug packaging design,make the drug information more concise and readable,guide and prompt the elderly when they read,help the elderly operate and use the drugs correctly,and improve the visibility of drug information.Finally We conducted a study on the visual needs of drug packaging for the elderly,summarized the specific details of drug packaging that we hope to improve according to the visual needs of the elderly,proposed improvement strategies for the visual problems of drugs commonly used by the elderly in the market today in terms of text,pattern,color and layout,selected coronary heart disease drugs commonly used by the elderly,redesigned their packaging and instructions for information visualization,and conducted a satisfaction study on the redesigned drugs.We also conducted a satisfaction survey on the redesigned drugs to listen to the real evaluation and opinions of the elderly.Through the perspective of information visualization,the problem of poor information visibility of the elderly in the face of drug packaging is investigated,and it is proposed that the text,pattern,color and layout of drug information through information visualization to make an age-friendly drug packaging design that meets the needs of the elderly,but further exploration and improvement are needed for different types of drug packaging,and we hope to further In-depth investigation.
