Lion Patter In The Textiles Of The Tang Dynasty

This paper studies the lion pattern in the textiles of the Tang Dynasty by taking the material development,technological innovation and the appearance and development of lion pattern of textiles in Tang Dynasty as the entry point.It also conducted a survey on the unearthed textile relics of Tang Dynasty by adopting the methods of literature research and comparative research,and expounds the evolution and development,structural form and aesthetic characteristics of lion patterns in Tang Dynasty textiles in details and replenish the current pattern design based on the study of lion patterns,and finally applies it in the fabric design or clothing design at present.There are five parts in this paper.In part one,it mainly introduces the research background of the paper,summarizes the research status quo of this subject by collating the existing literature,and states the research methods used in this paper.In part two,it gives a detailed explanation on the development of textile materials and the innovation of technology under the social background of Tang Dynasty by combing the textiles of Tang Dynasty with lion pattern,aiming to display the style of dyeing and weaving patterns in Tang Dynasty.A basic concept of lion patterns in textiles in Tang Dynasty is defined as well in this part.In part three,this paper introduces the historical origin of the lion pattern firstly,then describes the connection and inheritance significance of the lion pattern in the history of decorative patterns in the Tang Dynasty in details and tells the detailed process of lion pattern changing from an "exotic product" to a "traditional pattern" in Chinese traditional auspicious patterns.The fourth part is about the structural form and color application of lion patterns in textiles in Tang Dynasty,and it also analyzes the aesthetic feeling of lion patterns in Tang Dynasty.In part five,it proposes to explore and experiment the activation design of lion patterns in Tang Dynasty based on the above research results,thereby conducting feasible innovative designs.
