The renovation of rural toilets is an important part of the improvement of rural living environment and an important task of implementing the rural revitalization strategy. At present,China’s rural toilet revolution has achieved great results, the sanitary toilet penetration rate has reached a high level. However, the treatment of rural toilet fecal pollution is still in a weak link. Most rural areas are only limited to the renovation of household toilets, and no effective treatment measures have been taken for toilet fecal pollution,so the level of harmless fecal pollution and resource utilization needs to be improved. At the same time, domestic sewage has not been integrated with toilet improvement treatment, and its disorderly discharge causes environmental pollution, which does not meet the objectives of rural living environment improvement. Therefore,it is necessary to implement the mode of overall treatment of toilet excrement and domestic sewage, and effectively improve the rural living environment. However, manure control requires the participation of farmers and is incorporated into the manure control system through the construction of standardized household latrines. Therefore,it is necessary to take farmers as the main body of the study and the model of fecal pollution treatment as the entry point to analyze the willingness of farmers to participate in fecal pollution treatment and the influencing factors, which is of great significance to optimize the model of fecal pollution treatment, promote the harmless treatment and resource utilization of fecal pollution, and improve the rural living environment.Based on this background,on the basis of reviewing the domestic and foreign scholars’ research on the current situation of rural fecal pollution control, the influencing factors of fecal pollution control and the willingness of farmers to participate in it,fumian District of Yulin city was selected as the research area to analyze the local fecal pollution control model and summarize its model characteristics and benefits. Then, descriptive statistical analysis was conducted on the basic data of the questionnaire. Finally, correlation analysis and regression analysis were used to conduct empirical research on the willingness of farmers to participate in fecal pollution control and its influencing factors. The results show that the overall willingness of farmers to participate in manure treatment in Fumian District of Yulin is higher than the general level, that is,at the level of willing to participate; In terms of gender, educational background, annual household income and other demographic characteristics, there are differences in willingness to participate in fecal pollution control, and education level and income level have a significant positive impact on willingness to participate.Five factors, including the effect of manure control, cost fund, project quality, maintenance and management, and external environment, have a significant positive impact on the willingness to participate, among which the cost fund dimension of manure control has the greatest impact on the willingness to participate.Based on the results of field research and empirical analysis, the following countermeasures were proposed to provide policy reference for optimizing the model of manure treatment and enhancing the willingness of farmers to participate in manure treatment :(1)ensure the effect of manure treatment and enhance the trust of farmers;(2)Optimize capital allocation and increase capital investment;(3)Strengthen technical support and quality supervision to ensure project quality;(4)Strengthen maintenance management to ensure long-term operation;(5)Increase publicity and education, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm of farmers. |
