The Improved Design Of Furniture For College Dormitory

Taking the student dormitory furniture of Central South University of forestry and technology as the research object,this paper studies the needs of users and improves the design according to the existing problems of dormitory furniture,and discusses the design methods and Strategies of College Students’ dormitory furniture,which can provide some reference for designers in the field of dormitoryfurniture.Firstly,this paper summarizes the research status of College Students’ dormitory furniture at home and abroad,and understands the current research level in this field.Then,taking the student dormitory furniture of Central South University of forestry and technology as the research object,this paper makes a field investigation on the daily life,spatial layout and furniture status of the dormitory,and understands in detail the behavior characteristics of students in the dormitory and the current situation of dormitory furniture.Then,combined with the questionnaire,this paper analyzes the needs of this group for dormitory furniture and the main problems of dormitory furniture at present.Again,the questionnaire survey is used to sort the urgency of the existing problems of dormitory furniture.The results are "unreasonable storage space planning","lack of coordination between furniture and space in dormitory" and "lack of privacy of furniture".Secondly,this paper analyzes the improvement design of dormitory furniture,and deeply analyzes the factors affecting the improvement design of dormitory furniture from the four aspects of the color,material,function and the size of furniture and users.Based on the design orientation of paying attention to the privacy of furniture,considering the multifunction of furniture,highlighting the economic practicability of furniture and paying attention to the safety of furniture,combined with the proposed design countermeasures,this paper carries out the improvement design practice of dormitory furniture.Thirdly,the improved design practice is carried out according to the existing problems of dormitory furniture.Firstly,the existing problems of dormitory furniture are sorted out,and the improvement scheme is conceived according to the problems.Combined with the three design countermeasures of "reasonable planning of storage function,coordinated design with space,multifunctional and diversified design of furniture",the wardrobe,bookcase,bed guardrail fittings of the dormitory are improved respectively.The improvement results are compared with those before the improvement,and the problems solved after the improvement are obtained.And finally complete the improvement design scheme of dormitory furniture.Finally,aiming at the existing problems of dormitory furniture,through the proposed design countermeasures,the wardrobe,desk,bed guardrail and seat are improved respectively.The improvement of wardrobe solves the problems of lack of storage space and unreasonable internal storage space planning;The improvement of desk improves the coordination with space,and solves the problems of individual learning and collective learning;The improvement of bed guardrail.
