Research On The Impact Of Resource And Environmental Carrying Capacity On Industrial Structure Upgrading In The Yellow River Basin

The Yellow River Basin is an important ecological barrier and energy base in China,playing an important role in economic development and ecological protection.However,the Yellow River Basin has shortcomings such as fragile ecological environment,environmental overload,and water resource shortage,and the problems of resource depletion,ecological damage,and environmental pollution brought about by industrial development have made the dilemma of fragile ecological environment and high resource environment load in the Yellow River Basin increasingly prominent.The contradiction between industrial development and resource environment is prominent,which restricts the upgrading of the industrial structure in the Yellow River Basin.With the integration of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin into the national development strategy,in-depth exploration of the impact of resource and environmental carrying capacity on industrial structure upgrading is of great significance for promoting high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin.On the basis of reviewing relevant literature and theories,the paper measures and analyzes the resource and environmental carrying capacity(RECC),industrial structure upgrading and rationalization status of 56 cities in the Yellow River Basin from 2004 to 2020,constructs a general panel model to study the impact of RECC on industrial structure upgrading in the Yellow River Basin,and uses a threshold model to explore the nonlinear impact of RECC on industrial structure upgrading.Research has found that:(1)RECC of the Yellow River Basin has increased,with a rapid increase in economic development capacity,a slow upward trend in social carrying capacity,a relatively smooth fluctuation in resource carrying capacity,and a continuous improvement in environmental carrying capacity.The upgrading level of industrial structure in the Yellow River Basin has been improved,and the "321"industrial pattern is stable.The rational development of industrial structure in the Yellow River Basin is relatively stable and has a downward trend,and there are still problems such as resource mismatch.(2)The improvement of RECC in the Yellow River basin will help promote the upgrading and rationalization of industrial structure.For the sub basins of the Yellow River Basin,the improvement of RECC has a significant promoting effect on the upgrading of the upstream and midstream industrial structure,and has a significant promoting effect on the rationalization of the downstream industrial structure.(3)The positive impact of RECC of the Yellow River Basin on the upgrading of industrial structure shows a decreasing trend.When RECC is low,enhancing RECC has a stronger promoting effect on the upgrading of industrial structure.After crossing the threshold,the promoting effect weakens.Finally,based on the current situation of RECC and industrial structure upgrading in the Yellow River Basin,as well as the positive impact of RECC on industrial structure upgrading,the paper proposes countermeasures and suggestions from four aspects:improving RECC,promoting the development of advantageous industries,enhancing enterprise innovation capacity,and formulating differentiated strategies.To promote the upgrading of industrial structure by enhancing RECC,and to play a key role in the high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin.
