With global warming,human production and life are facing severe challenges.Therefore,adopting energy-saving and emission reduction measures and vigorously developing low-carbon economy have become the common goal of the whole world.Carbon productivity represents the GDP that can be produced per unit of carbon dioxide emissions,which is an important indicator to measure economic benefits and environmental pollution in production activities.As the country with the largest energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions in the world,China has always attached great importance to green and low-carbon development.By studying the differences in carbon productivity and its influencing factors at regional and industrial levels,we can identify potential areas for improving carbon productivity,provide ideas and methods for future development,and scientifically promote carbon peak and carbon neutrality.Based on the existing literature and related theories,in this thesis we study the input factors in the process of economic production driven by green development,refine energy input into renewable energy input and non-renewable energy input,introduce knowledge stock input and green knowledge stock input,define a new green environment production technology,and use data envelopment analysis method to construct a new green environment linear programming model with constant returns to scale.On the basis of the traditional output Shephard distance function,the new green Shephard distance function of undesirable output and desirable output and the corresponding new green Farrell technical efficiency measure are defined.According to the definition of carbon productivity and the input factors driven by green development,in this thesis we deduce a series of new green decomposition theorems,obtain the decomposition formula of carbon productivity and regional differences of carbon productivity,and establish a new green decomposition model of carbon productivity.The differences of regional carbon productivity are divided into nine effects:capital-mixed energy substitution effect,labor-mixed energy substitution effect,mixed knowledge stock-mixed energy substitution effect,carbon factor effect,green knowledge efficiency effect of renewable energy,knowledge efficiency effect of non-renewable energy,potential mixed knowledge emission ratio effect,carbon performance index effect and carbon emission structure effect,and detailed explanation is followed with each effect.The input and output data of 15 industries in 29 provinces of China in 2019 were selected to compare the differences in carbon productivity from the provincial level and the industry level.Firstly,using the decomposition formula of regional differences of carbon productivity and the expression of each effect in Chapter 3,the effect decomposition of provincial carbon productivity differences is carried out,and the mechanism of influencing factors is explored from a new perspective.Secondly,using the carbon productivity of each province and industry in Chapter 3 to compare with the carbon productivity of each industry in the reference area,the industry decomposition of provincial carbon productivity differences is carried out,and the promotion or inhibition effect of different industries on the development of carbon productivity in the province is analyzed.Finally,by synthesizing the research results from two perspectives,15 provinces with relatively backward carbon productivity and 8 industries that lead to their backwardness are obtained as key research objects.Using the decomposition formula of carbon productivity differences and each effect expression with double subscripts of provinces and industries,the influencing factors of carbon productivity differences of key industries in key provinces are analyzed from two dimensions,and the effect of each influencing factor is quantitatively analyzed in combination with specific data,according to the decomposition results and the actual situation,policy recommendations are given.
