| Under the new development paradigm, cultivating a domestic value chain and improving spillover effect of regional development play an important role in breaking the barriers to regional economic cycles and promoting the circulation of production factors,as well as the key to stimulating domestic and international dual circulation. From the perspective of production segmentation length, this paper comprehensively measures the development level of national value chain in China, and discusses the impact on regional total factor productivity. The research of spillover effect provides ideas for enhancing China’s provincial cooperation and improving the efficiency of resource allocation, which has certain theoretical and practical significance. In terms of research methods, based on regional Input-Output Tables of 2007,2012 and 2017,this paper uses the output upstreamness and input downstreamness to quantify regional economic correlation and manifest the evolution characteristics of regional supply and demand networks in the method of network analysis. At the same time, this paper regards the regional value chain division of labor as the spillover path of spatial correlation to construct a spatial weight matrix, and examine the spatial spillover effects on provincial total factor productivity in two ways: the market scale efficiency brought by the domestic value chain through the output supply and the intermediate product input efficiency brought by the input demand connection. The results are as follows. The main supply centers of NVC are in the western region, which shows the characteristics of “sufficient supply and insufficient demand”in the early stage. The main demand centers are in the eastern region, showing the characteristics of “internal demand and external supply”.Second, the eastern region is integrated more to the NVC by years, and it enhances the correlation with the mid-west.The western region gradually becomes the main source for demand centers and influx from the supply.Through the division of labor network, the flow of regional production factors has a spillover effect on other regions and drives the improvement of productivity in other regions, that is,by extending the transmission length of added value,it can have a positive spillover effect on the productivity of provinces and regions in China. Therefore,in the new development paradigm, enhancing regional linkage, optimizing industrial structure, cultivating economic poles in the mid-west,and stimulating inland demand are the keys to releasing the economic effect along the NVC. |
