In recent years,cultivating talents with creative consciousness,innovative ability and comprehensive quality has become the need of current social development and the goal of educational curriculum reform.As a practical subject,the core quality of general technology is the needed for cultivating innovative comprehensive talents in China.However,there are still some problems in general technology teaching,such as multifarious teaching content,fuzzy teaching objectives,boring teaching process and so on.So,it is urgent need for a new teaching mode to change the current situation.As an emerging mode of education and teaching,maker education has aroused great research enthusiasm in the education circle with its characteristics of integrating curriculum content,expanding knowledge channels,changing teaching methods and updating educational concepts.Since 2015,The Ministry of Education has continuously promoted the development of maker education in universities,primary and secondary schools in China.Maker education and maker courses have blossomed all over the country in schools in the large and medium-sized cities.However,affected by the social and economic system,maker education had not be universalized in the general high school of the third four-tier cities.So how to promote maker education in ordinary middle schools and how to cultivate innovative talents are the problems that need to be solved at present.Therefore,this article combines maker education with general technology curriculum in senior middle school,and designs a set of general technology curriculum based on maker education concept and puts it into practice which based on the current situation of the author's school.At last,this paper hope to provide reference for relevant education researchers.This article is based on senior middle school curriculum standards of general technology,combined with the domestic and international research status of the maker education and general technology curriculum teaching present situation of ordinary senior middle school,demonstrated the demand relationship of the integration of maker education and general technology.By analyzing domestic and international curriculum,the hardware environment survey of experimental school,and the opinions of students to the general technology curriculum and maker education,based on Constructivist theory and pragmatic theory,project-based learning and design-based learning,developed the curriculum of maker education with general technology for senior middle school,which center was teaching goal,the clues were teaching content,teaching activities,teaching evaluation and teaching environment,and the curriculum development is carried out according to the idea.In the later,the author chose the content of “the Structure and Design” and implemented the project course of integrating maker education into general technology in the form of controlled experiment,evaluated the practical effect of the course by using multiple questionnaires,teacher interviews and quantitative tests,then improved the course design and selected different chapters for practice.Practice has proved that the project curriculum that integrates maker education with general technology can effectively reflect every step of teaching,effectively stimulate and improve students' creativity,practical ability and communication and collaboration ability,which verifies the practicality and feasibility of integrating maker education into general technology curriculum of ordinary senior middle schools,and provides new ideas on how to achieve efficient teaching.
