Research On Social Work Intervention In Community Horticultural Elderly Service

Community pension service has attracted much attention as a topic of The Times.Day care service center for the elderly is one of the community pension services purchased from social organizations by local civil affairs departments,which can effectively alleviate the contradictions and conflicts between population aging and social sustainable development.However,with the development of urban construction and the change of living environment,the old people’s inherent way of life in the community has been changed.How to meet the localization and diversified needs of the old people and guide the old people to enjoy a positive,healthy and comfortable old age life is an urgent problem to be solved in the community pension service.In this paper,the study of social work’s involvement in community horticultural elderly care service was conducted.Firstly,the status quo of community elderly care service in J was understood by consulting the books and questionnaires of the day care center.Secondly,literature analysis method and observation method were used to analyze the gardening pension service demands of the elderly in J Community Day Care Center,and it was found that the elderly’s needs generally included farming,health,learning,entertainment and social interaction.Thirdly,guided by the principle of horticulture therapy and using community social work methods,theme activities such as "vegetable planting","green plant potted" and "creative handwork" are designed according to the local needs of the elderly,so as to provide professional and high-quality pastoral life old-age care services for the elderly.Questionnaires and interviews were used to understand the satisfaction of the elderly,community leaders,social workers and social work organizations on the service effect.Finally,in view of the involvement of social work in community horticulture elderly care service,the author summarized and reflected from the aspects of the need to improve the professional ability of social workers,the poor continuity of service,the weak influence of social workers,the poor timeliness of activity funds,and the need to improve the universality of service effect.At the same time,some suggestions were put forward to enhance the professional quality of social workers,increase the training team of social workers in horticulture,improve the influence of community workers,participate in various subjects together,and expand the service scope and scale.
