Review Mining And Analysis Of Paper Reading And Digital Reading

This paper selects Jingdong platform and Zhangyue Bookstore as the representative platforms of paper reading and digital reading,and uses the reviews of 100 popular books in the two platforms as the research data to mine and analyze the review text content and review relationship between books and readers.In the analysis of review text content,we conduct research by means of readability analysis,construction of review dimensions,sentiment analysis,and relevance analysis.At the same time,a bimodal "book-reader" network is constructed using the review data,and the review relationships are mined through centrality analysis,core book identification analysis,and modular book sub-community analysis.In addition,five books by the same author and the top books of the platform were selected as two typical cases,and the similarities and differences in reading preferences and reading behaviors between paper and digital reading platforms were explored through descriptive statistical analysis,sentiment analysis,and network analysis.The conclusions show that the information in the reviews of digital reading platform is slightly higher than that of paper reading platform,but the complexity of reviews is lower.The review dimensions of readers of paper reading platform focus the platform and the books,while the review dimensions of readers of digital reading platform focus on the readers themselves and the content of the books.In terms of emotionality,the overall emotional tendency of both platforms is positive,but there are some differences in readers' specific preferred books.In terms of correlation,the average length of reviews is most related to the rating of books on the paper reading platform,while the number of reviews is most related to the digital reading platform.In terms of review relationships,the "book-reader" networks constructed by the two platforms are similar in terms of centrality,while the core books are different.In addition,the categories of books in the book sub-communities of both platforms are the same,but the specific percentages of each category are different.In the case study,it is found that readers of the paper reading platform read single-author books more deeply,but the relationship between collected works and single-volume works is more fragmented;readers of the digital reading platform read single-author works from shallow to deep,and co-readers exist for collected works and single-volume works.Therefore,paper reading can meet the reading needs of readers who pursue certain reading quality by optimizing the reading experience and deepening the immersive reading atmosphere.Digital reading,on the other hand,can promote the generation of reading behavior by widening the scope of digital publishing in all aspects.At the same time,digital reading can also guide the generation of interests and paper reading can promote the development of interests,bridging online and offline reading behaviors and realizing a benign reading style and reading ecology of co-prosperity and coexistence.
