As a professional network platform mainly for researchers, academic social network has played a great role in promoting academic exchange and information resource sharing. It meets the diversified information needs of researchers and enriches the communication channels of academic information. However,at the same time of development,it also faces the potential problems of insufficient user stickiness and low user participation. As a sub domain of non sustainable use behavior, intermittent dropout behavior is between continuous use behavior and complete suspension behavior, which is common in real life. This paper combines intermittent dropout behavior with academic social networks to conduct in-depth research, explore the factors affecting the use behavior of academic social network users, and help platform managers improve relevant services and user stickiness,So as to provide theoretical guidance for the benign development of academic social networks.Based on the relevant research results, this paper takes the users of academic social networking sites as the main research object, constructs the influencing factor model of intermittent dropout behavior of academic social networking users based on the stressor-strain-result framework model, combined with the expectation failure theory and social media burnout theory.Through the analysis and summary of the existing literature, extract the influencing factor indicators, define the key words, verify and supplement the proposed measurement indicators through user interviews, and then put forward the research hypothesis and build the model.By referring to the relevant research scale, the questionnaire is designed according to the interview content and measurement indicators. The questionnaire is modified and optimized through pre-investigation.After screening the effective questionnaire, the hypothesis model is verified by using SPSS and Amos analysis data.Through the research,it is concluded that the failure of users' expectations will cause negative emotions such as dissatisfaction;Information overload, social overload and system function overload significantly affect users' use burnout and dissatisfaction to a certain extent;Subjective norms lead to conversion fatigue;Use burnout and switching fatigue will lead to intermittent dropout behavior.Use burnout will lead users to stop using academic social networks, and switching fatigue will make users start using again. Finally, according to the research results, some suggestions are put forward for the development of academic social network platform. This paper not only provides relevant practical enlightenment for the operation and management of academic social network platform, but also provides some reference for further research on the intermittent dropout behavior of academic social network users in the future.
