With mobile short videos as the medium, rural youth present the real rural landscape, seek identity and construct self-image,and at the same time make up for the lack of discourse power in the era of traditional media.Through mobile short video media, rural youth can present their self-image and local culture, build a "me in the mirror" to gain audience identification and construct their self-identity,and construct their self-identity and local culture identification. The short video produced by rural youth discusses the motivation of rural youth in short video creation: policy incentive, technological progress, head youth demonstration and rural youth's own needs, and analyzes the positive and negative images presented in the short video.Through such short videos, the motivation of rural youth to create short videos is discussed:policy incentive, technological progress, head youth demonstration and rural youth's own needs.Through the study,it is found that rural youth highlight their rural identity in mobile short videos, present their personal images in line with their self-cognition,and present an idealized rural image. They construct themselves through the "personalized" front desk setting that marks their identity, idealized performances with the countryside as the stage, and blurred boundaries between front desk and back stage. In the short videos created by rural youth, they are more and more inclined to construct the identity of "New Farmer",and obtain cultural identity through the identity construction. The blurring of the foreground and background is the most unique way to construct itself. The interaction between mobile short video and rural youth media has produced rustic culture and ideal rural idyllic picture.
