In the era of we media,the chaos of "eating and broadcasting" industry occurs frequently,and the cultural factors behind it are worth exploring.The emergence and alienation of "eating and broadcasting" is the product of social development to a specific stage,which can not be viewed only as an economic phenomenon.It is a complex of multiple elements in the period of social transformation,media empowerment and the psychological plight of contemporary youth.The pursuit of industry health can not only rely on the interview platform and banning accounts.It should be based on the cultural perspective and continue to make efforts and normalized guidance.In August 2020,the "eat and broadcast" industry was rectified.Aiming at the rectified "eat and broadcast" phenomenon of short video at station B,this study,based on the youth subculture theory of Birmingham School,uses participatory observation,case study and text research to explore the cultural significance behind the "eat and broadcast" phenomenon.The main body of the article consists of four parts.The first part is to sort out the current situation of short video "eating and broadcasting" of station B after the incorporation of commercial capital and mainstream culture."Eating and broadcasting" focuses on highlighting the curiosity seeking characteristics under the commercial blessing,resulting in frequent chaos such as "eating and broadcasting of the king of the stomach","eating and broadcasting of unfashionable" and "food pornography".The mainstream culture is further rectified,the content of "eating and broadcasting" is guided,the food is focused,and the cultural connotation and creativity are advocated.The second part is to interpret the style construction mechanism of "eating and broadcasting" of station B,starting from the two rituals of style and resistance.The creator realizes interesting communication through material collage,enhances the pertinence of communication through scene isomorphism,and meets the personalized needs of the audience in ideographic practice.The essence of deviant behavior in "eating and broadcasting" is the identity establishment,sensory satisfaction and subculture capital accumulation of youth groups in the virtual scene.The third part analyzes the social and cultural causes of the popularity of "eating and broadcasting".This study is carried out from the two dimensions of media and user psychology.Technology empowerment extends the voice of youth groups,short videos broaden the expression channels of youth groups,and virtual space provides a shelter for the generation of subculture.At the same time,resistance practice can make the "eating and broadcasting" group meet the needs of psychological expression,curiosity hunting and companionship.The fourth part is based on the reflection of the practical problems of "eating and broadcasting".After the rectification of the industry,there are still some phenomena of anchor grandstanding,content homogenization and abnormal aesthetics.The emergence of abnormal "eating and broadcasting" and the enthusiasm and imitation of teenagers reflect the deviation of the values of young groups and the spread of negative social mentality.Mainstream culture should be vigilant against cultural degradation,abide by the cultural bottom line,adhere to cultural consciousness,and pay attention to the demands of the times that young groups are eager to express and seek recognition while strengthening the humanistic spirit of the "eating and broadcasting" industry.
