Space target monitoring is the basis of space utilization and control.Space target monitoring system,also known as space monitoring system,can monitor the state and information of artificial objects in space,including the state information of artificial objects entering space,moving in space,leaving space,as well as their corresponding orbit,function information,etc.The system consists of radar,radio reconnaissance and other detection equipment to constitute its monitoring network,radar is the main equipment of low earth orbit target detection,and extended to middle and high orbit target detection,it has the characteristics of all-day,all-weather,active detection.Using computer software simulation technology to simulate space detection environment and restore radar work requirements,has the advantages of low cost and high reliability.In this paper,STK is used to connect with MATLAB software to complete the system simulation.Starting from the effectiveness evaluation,the radar monitoring system model is completed in the simulation,and a set of effectiveness evaluation software is developed to carry out visual simulation of the scene,which is helpful to verify the system performance indicators.Firstly,the characteristics and functions of phased array radar in space target detection are systematically studied,the key technologies of typical radar systems are analyzed,and the modeling of radar transmitting signal and echo signal,the correlation constraints of radar detection range,search screen and antenna system are emphatically discussed.The characteristics of space targets are analyzed,and the simulation modeling of phased array radar and electromagnetic fence is carried out respectively through the commonly used coordinate system,target orbit elements and target cross-sectional area.Secondly,based on the effectiveness evaluation related theory,puts forward the space target surveillance radar system effectiveness evaluation of the basic flow,analysis of the principle of effectiveness evaluation index,is established for effective performance evaluation index system,the system is put forward based on ADC and hierarchical analysis method of effectiveness evaluation,based on extended bayesian and multiple task model fusion performance evaluation methods.These two models are used to deal with system models with high complexity and many quantitative indexes respectively.Examples show that both methods are feasible and provide a method for evaluating the effectiveness of space target surveillance radar system.Finally,STK is controlled by MATLAB,and the software "Space target surveillance radar System effectiveness evaluation" is designed by using the GRAPHICAL user interface(GUI)function of MATLAB.The software is easy to operate,and users can modify the radar parameters to change the equipment configuration and complete the evaluation study in different radar models.This paper shows that the design of MATLAB/STK space target surveillance radar system simulation platform is realizable and necessary.It also provides effective help to grasp the actual efficiency of the system,and has a good guiding significance to the design of radar system.
