Study On Space Reconstruction Strategy Of Academic Libraries Based On The Fieldwork Of Universities In Jiangsu Province

With the development of Internet and other information technology,the needs of users present a trend of diversified,multi-level and personalized development.Users are not only borrowing and self-study in the library,they increasingly hope that the library can provide a high-quality space environment to support learning and research,discussion and exchange,innovation and entrepreneurship and other activities.The traditional space layout of the library can no longer meet the needs of users,The transformation and upgrading of library must be realized by deepening the space reform.As one of the important measures to improve the spatial function layout and spatial service,the importance of space reengineering has become increasingly prominent.Libraries have successively carried out space reengineering through the way of old library building reengineering,expansion or new library building,enriching the space types,improving the spatial planning and layout,and providing more space services for users,However,there are some problems in the space reconstruction of university library,such as lack of overall planning,low user participation and so on.Therefore,it is necessary to sort out the current situation of space reengineering in university library,understand the current situation of space utilization and user needs,and put forward the principles and Strategies of space reengineering in university library.This paper first clarifies the definition of library space and space reengineering,as well as the research status of library space Reengineering at home and abroad.Secondly,through the way of network research and literature research,this paper investigates the typical cases of university library space Reengineering at home and abroad,summarizes its space reengineering mode,functional units,space layout,facilities and equipment,space comfort,user participation,and summarizes the commonness and characteristics;Through the questionnaire survey,this paper summarizes and analyzes the user needs,space utilization and user satisfaction.Thirdly,five university libraries in Jiangsu Province are selected for field investigation to analyze the concept cognition,user needs and user participation,balance between learning and leisure,evaluation of space reengineering,space comfort and so on.Finally,it is suggested that the space reconstruction of university library should follow the principles of user centered,overall planning and distribution implementation,diversity,environment-friendly,adaptability,economic efficiency and so on.At the same time,the paper puts forward the space reengineering strategies of university library,including making forwardlooking and systematic planning,widely investigating the needs of users,functional units and space layout at night,creating a comfortable and pleasant environment,building environment-friendly and energy-saving space,ensuring the participation of the library,doing a good job in the post use evaluation of space,and improving the library space management.
