In recent years,with the booming development of China’s e-commerce industry,online shopping has been integrated into People’s Daily life and become an indispensable part.Especially driven by various shopping festivals such as "Double 11" and "12-12",express delivery demand is booming,which promotes the rapid development of express delivery industry.As people’s demands for express delivery services become more diversified,the express delivery industry is also moving forward from the barbaric growth in the early stage to the direction of diversification and high quality.At the same time,the economic status of express delivery industry keeps rising,providing an important basic guarantee for the development of China’s e-commerce industry,modern agriculture and service manufacturing industry,and providing an important boost for promoting rural revitalization and employment.It has become a pillar industry in modern economic society.COVID-19 outbreak in 2020,private Courier enterprise in our country under the condition of the social from all walks of life to run general stagnation,through the comprehensive transportation network,air combined with strong capacity,improve the distribution system,supply and deployment of emergency relief supplies,safeguard the People’s Daily life needs and disaster relief,the social public widely recognized.In the context of the continuous introduction of relevant supportive policies for the express industry by the Chinese government and the continuous expansion of the market scale,the market concentration of the express industry is also increasing,and the competition is gradually white-hot: the market share of state-owned enterprises is shrinking,and they are losing ground.Foreign enterprises because of its inflexible strategy and limited by the influence of policy leads to acclimatization;Large private enterprises have gone public,small private enterprises have gone bankrupt or been merged,and new express delivery companies have entered the market through price wars.In the context of fierce competition,private express delivery enterprises must constantly consolidate their own advantages,clarify the main competitors,establish information analysis system,choose appropriate competitive strategy,seize the market opportunities and give play to their own advantages,in order to build a solid market competitive position.In this paper,the representative of private express enterprises in China,SF Holding Co.,Ltd.,as the research object,based on the knowledge of competitive information science,using PEST,Porter’s five forces model and other analytical tools,the development of express industry,SF Holding’s competitors and competitive strategies are studied.Firstly,combining with the development status of China’s express industry and the leading company,SF Express,through the public annual reports of major enterprises and the industry research results published by consulting institutions,the PEST tool and the Five Forces Model are comprehensively adopted to analyze the industry competition environment of SF Express.Then according to the express industry market segmentation and revenue,profit,etc confirmed that the current motion’s main rival for China post EMS,JD logistics,ZT express and UPS,and then based on the perspective of the express industry value chain of warehousing,transportation,technology,price,customer service,five key influencing factors analysis of major competitors,Finally,based on the above analysis results,it is concluded that SF Express should implement three competitive strategies of technological differentiation,brand differentiation and service differentiation.The research and analysis results of this paper summarize the development status and background of China’s express industry,and put forward some suggestions on how to develop private express enterprises at present.It has certain reference value for express enterprises to identify and analyze competitors by using competitive intelligence and win market competition by formulating strategies.
