| Founded in 1960,Journal of Zhengzhou University(Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition)(hereinafter referred to as Journal of Zhengzhou University)is a comprehensive academic journal of social sciences and humanities sponsored by Zhengzhou University.Journal of Zhengzhou University is not only one of the first-class periodicals in Henan Province,one of the top twenty social sciences periodicals in Henan Province,but also one of the source periodicals of Peking University's Chinese Core Periodical Catalogs,CSSCI,and one of the core periodicals of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences.The study of the publishing characteristics of Journal of Zheng University has a certain guiding effect on the construction of university journals in Henan Province,and also has an important reference significance for the development of university journals in China.Based on the field investigation of the Journal of Zhengzhou University,the author analyzed the initial stage(1960-1965),the adjustment stage(1966-1977),the steady development stage(1978-1999)of the Journal of Zhengzhou University which was not published regularly,and the development stage of serving teaching and scientific research.To gradually toward the scientific planning journal construction of the innovative development stage(2000 up to now)of the basic situation is summarized and analyzed.Adhering to the tenet of serving teaching and scientific research and the editorial philosophy of "manuscript quality first",Journal of Zheng University has shown its high quality of running the journal,brought it more honors and commendations,and has been recognized by journal evaluation organizations.Firstly,the column setting of Journal of Zhengzhou University in recent ten years(from 2011 to2020)was analyzed in detail,and the changes of column setting types were presented with data.Based on these data,the low-frequency column,medium-frequency column and high-frequency column were divided,and the column names of medium-frequency column and high-frequency column were listed.To the characteristics of data analysis column setting;Secondly,according to the research direction and concerns of academic articles published in the column of written talk and special column,the characteristics of topic selection and planning are analyzed.Then through sorting and summarizing the academic quality of manuscripts,the quality of binding design and the quality of editors,the characteristics of publishing quality are analyzed.It is found that the Journal of Zhengzhou University has gradually formed the features of setting up columns with equal development of general columns and featured columns,of selecting topics and planning closely following the requirements of social reality,and of insisting on quality first and building a high-quality editorial team in terms of academic quality of manuscripts,quality of binding design,and quality of editorial team.In addition,the column of "Aesthetics · Environmental Aesthetics" is an important characteristic column in Journal of Zhengzhou University,and it has been selected into the second batch of famous column construction projects of the Ministry of Education.Through the detailed introduction and dissection of this special column in the basic situation,establishment process,column characteristics and other aspects,it can more intuitively reflect the advantages and inevitability of "Aesthetics · Environmental Aesthetics" column to become the famous column of the Ministry of Education.While studying the publishing characteristics of Journal of Zhengzhou University,we also find that there are some problems in Journal of Zhengzhou University,such as the degree of digitization needs to be improved,the division of some columns is not clear enough,and the editorial staff needs to be rationally arranged.In view of these problems,this paper puts forward the feasible development strategies of speeding up digital transformation,creating quality columns,injecting new blood into the editorial team,helping subject development,and driving Journal of Zhengzhou University into the construction project of famous journals of the Ministry of Education by name columns,so as to play a positive role in the development of Journal of Zhengzhou University.It also hopes to give some enlightenment to the construction of national university journals. |
