| The academic journals are special publications that aimed at exploring,accumulating and disseminating human scientific and technological knowledge and advanced ideas.The academic journals are agglomerated with the wisdom of scholars and have a guiding effect on scientific research.Scholars have differentiated the field of dynamic polymerization with journals and catalyzed the generation of new achievements.The purpose of research on the publication of academic journals is to examine the various publishing links and elements of academic journal publishing activities,reveal the evolution of academic journal publishing,explore the law of academic journal publishing,reveal the influencing factors of publishing activities,analyze the principles and norms throughout the publishing activities.Compared with natural science journals,the publication of humanities and social science journals is more susceptible to political,economic and social influences and constraints.The academic journals of the humanities and social sciences have the unique function of providing psycho-dynamic and intellectual support to society.Research on humanities and social science journals published a long period of time could reveal the society under different historical stages of academic knowledge,and the demand of advanced thought,and the forms of expression of different periods of the academic research institute presented and differences,could show different periods of the academic development.The contribution invited notice of humanities and social science journals from 1949 to 2016 of CNKI was collected for nearly 60 years as a data source of the research.Moreover,the publication data of journals published by CNKI is targeted to supplement the notice.The quantitative and qualitative research methods are used to analyze the historical materials of the periodical.The study period from the founding of the People's Republic of China,involved 19 first-level disciplines in the humanities and social sciences.Therefore,it can comprehensively reflect the basic features of humanities and social science research since the founding of the state and the publishing ecology of academic journals.The main research contents include:(1)Reveal the basic situation of the publication of academic journals in humanities and social sciences,and summarized the general appearance of the development of academic journals in humanities and social sciences in China.It includes the trend of periodical types,geographical distribution and basic distribution of subjects.(2)Reveal the evolution and improvement of the publication norms of humanities and social science journals since the founding of the People's Republic of China.Including review system andpublication requirements,such as manuscript type and paper format(title,abstract,quotation)and other requirements.(3)The humanities and social sciences journals after the founding of the People's Republic ofChinawere divided into four stages for analysis,by the method of staging research.To reveal the characteristics of periodical development in each stage;Analyze the special types of journals of humanities and social sciences,core journals and online journals,by the method of stratification research.This paper reveals the demonstration effect of famous journals,the leading effect of core journals and the pushing effect of online journals.The innovation of this paper is:(1)There are few macroscopic studies in the existing studies,and few panoramic and holistic studies.The study was carried out in a longer time span.we can study the publishing ecology of the academic journals of the humanities and social sciences in our country,which can not only form the evolutionary study of time,but also make a horizontal comparison at a certain time.(2)The method of long-term continuous research on academic journals of humanities and social sciences is different from node research.The study was carried out from the macro level,gives a panoramic description of the publishing evolution of the journal of humanities and social sciences.The study is a supplement to the previous case study of a single journal or a certain type of periodical or a regional publication,which can not only form the evolutionary study of time,but also make a horizontal comparison at a certain time.It is relatively rare in the existing research of journal publishing.To some extent,this study reveals that:First,The basic ecology of academic journals of humanities and social sciences has been changing since the founding of the People's Republic of China.Performance in the development process of academic journals of humanities and social sciences is rather bumpy,imbalance in the distribution of academic journals of humanities and social sciences across the country,large gap in the development of academic journals in different disciplines of humanities and social sciences.Second,China's humanities and social sciences academic journal publishing norms affected by Europe and the United States,and is increasingly docking with the world,review system,manuscript type and writing criterion are gradually improved in the long-term practice.Third,In terms of stages,periodical publishing in different historical periods has different characteristics in terms of types,development speed and discipline composition.Influenced by the complex social environment,academic level and science and technology,the publication of periodicals presents different conditions.In terms of stratification,the core journals have a leading effect on the standards of academic journals,the "project of famous journals" has a demonstration effect on the development of university journals,and the network journals have a driving effect on paper-based journals.The value of this study is to reveal the overall appearance of academic journals published in the humanities and social sciences and the complete process of the development of publishing norms.Starting from the basic phenomenon of academic journals published in that involves different aspects of academic journal publishing,reveal the periodical wave trough and developing experience,for domestic products development of humanities and social science academic journals provide guidance and reference. |
