With the development of social media and visual communication,video blog(Vlog)has become a popular visual content that attracts wide attention.Different from the entertainment and fragmentation of short videos,Vlog reflects daily life,highlights individual expression and leads the aesthetic taste of the young generation.Taking Vlog as an aesthetic activity,studying the social background and communication mechanism behind the rise of Vlog is necessary for us to understand the changes of public aesthetic psychology and promote the two-way interaction between media consumption culture and aesthetic lifestyle.Based on the aesthetic theory of daily life,this paper analyzes the characteristics of Vlog' s visual production,the process of aesthetic empathy,cultural value and reflection.Through narrative analysis and in-depth interviews,this paper discusses how Vlog as a video text causes aesthetic empathy in daily life.This paper first introduces the development process of Vlog entering China,especially the boosting effect of Bilibili on the popularity of Vlog.Then it analyzes how Vlogger expresses aesthetics and presents himself through video production.Specifically,this paper studies the top 60 Vlogs of Bilibili's broadcasts through narrative analysis(see appendix 4).From the perspectives of narrative perspective,narrative duration and narrative language,it is found that life Vlogs create feelings on the scene through first-person narration,express personality charm in the theme of individual daily life,and beautify the presentation of daily life with skillful editing,and finally create an immersive aesthetic experience for the audience through orchestration.The essence of Vlogger is to spread the idealized aesthetic life of young urban middle-class by means of visual symbols,and to attract the audience' s consumption of daily aesthetic experience.The second part focuses on the aesthetic empathy effect of life Vlog in the process of communication.Mainly through in-depth interviews with 30 Vlogger and their fans(see appendix 1)to understand the empathy and communication behavior of the aesthetic subject.The study suggests that Vlogger and the audience can find aesthetic resonance through visual speaking and sharing desires.Starting from aesthetic perception,Vlogger triggers emotional sharing and cognitive adjustment behavior of aesthetic subjects through internal imitation,and forms external mapping combined with life experience,opinion choice and social emotion.In essence,the watching behavior of life Vlog is 'shared' aesthetic empathy.Secondly,by analyzing the content and characteristics of bullet screen interaction,it is found that the audience,content and Vlogger show the characteristics of high interaction and strong identity,which further strengthens the empathy effect.Finally,relying on the circle communication under the aesthetic division and the promotion of platform media,Vlog's aesthetic practice has been rapidly spread.The third part comprehensively analyzes the relationship between Vlog image production and daily life aesthetics,and thinks that the ' daily life aesthetics ' shaped by Vlog is the common product of Vlogger,audience and platform.This paper argues that Vlog connects aesthetic expression with daily life,objectively alleviates the aesthetic fatigue caused by a large number of Chinese earthy short videos,empowers individuals to express personalized visual,and promotes people to strive for the aesthetic experience of daily life,making it a unique cultural landscape in contemporary consumption environment.At the same time,the aesthetic characteristics of Vlog also need to be vigilant embedded in daily life of consumerism and the aesthetic cocoon of the digital age.The era symptoms of consumer society and the historical context of individual expression constitute the internal causes of the rise of Vlog,which are manifested in the interactive relationship between freedom and inquiry,circle and diffusion,consumption and aesthetics.Under the new media context and algorithm push technology,how to get out of the dependence on ' things ' and realize ' free personality based on the comprehensive development of people ' is increasingly becoming the proposition of the times.
