The Construction Of Female Images In Current Domestic Talk Shows

This paper divides Chinese talk shows into three stages of development based on their temporal characteristics,namely the initial stage when talk shows were the mainstay,the stage when the format of the shows diversified,and the innovative stage when the front stage presented an "open mic" culture.Focusing on the third stage,namely the first season of the current Chinese talk shows,the analysis of how the female image of the hosts,guests and stand-up comedians is constructed reveals that the female image in the talk shows at this stage is rebellious,rejecting the "male gaze",pursuing diversity,and increasing the power of discourse.At the same time,men also play a role in the construction of female image.Finally,through the cultural criticism of the construction of female image in the development of Chinese talk shows,we examine how it has constructed the image of women in the context of social and cultural changes,as well as what impact this construction has had and what problems still exist,in order to expect a rational and dialectical view of the image of women and the common progress of society.
