A Research On The "Female-led Drama" Made In Domestic From The Perspective Of Feminism

This is a time of women.Today,women are struggling to realize their own value.They play an important role in all fields and their social status is getting higher and higher.The same is true in the film and television industry.Women begin to play a big show,even surpassing men.They make full use of their own entertainment effects,creating hot topics and even social phenomena.The “female-led drama” that has been extremely hot in recent years is the best proof of this.In 2011,a series of television dramas named Zhenhuan biography appeared on television screens,raising a hot discussion.From that on,the “female-led drama” has been popular for nearly ten years,and it has been a growing trend in the past two years.According to incomplete statistics,in the TV series that was broadcast in year of 2017 and 2018,"female-led drama" accounted for more than a half.Almost every of them can create hot topics,becoming and a cultural phenomenon that cannot be ignored in the field of film and television.Due to the tradition of Phallocentricism,men have always occupied a relatively important position on TV screens.The marginalization of women has also led to the marginalization of TV dramas which is about woman.Besides,women's body becomes the most beautiful goods under the prevalence of consumerism,and women are portrayed as objects of men's desire in TV series.In this sense,women just act as a miracle of desire in narrative of TV.However,the “female-led drama” takes women as the narrative center and tell people an inspirational story about women's growth,trying to express the subjectivity of women.Although it spread the progressive gender culture,the inner patriarchal concept which is constantly bound to women's thoughts and behaviors is still clearly visible.Therefore,this paper is to analyze the hot phenomenon from the following aspects.It will explain how the concept of patriarchy is perfectly integrated with the text of the "female-led drama" and try to give some advice for the development of this TV series.In the first part,the paper makes a definition of the “female-led drama” to distinguish it from the general female-themed TV series,and then introduces the reasons why it is popular from three aspects,including the improvement of women's own social status,the stress relief function of TV dramas and the expression platform provided by new media.The second part divides the development history of this TV drama into two stages,and then analyzes the progressive gender culture contained in it.As the most important part,the third part explores the patriarchy permeates into the TV drama text in what ways.In addition,it also points out the reasons why feminism is difficult to be truly expressed from the perspective of social reality,traditional culture,and commercial interests of TV dramas.On the basis of the previous article,the fourth part puts forward suggestions for the deep expression of feminism on the comparison with overseas similar TV dramas.The last part makes a conclusion,pointing out that the status of women around the world has changed dramatically and the relationship between the sexes has also changed a lot,but the dilemma women faced is still exist nowadays.Therefore,the path to explore an equal dialogue of gender will continue.
