For human beings,social media is both a "gift" and a "burden",not as a result of either/or,but as a product of both advantages and disadvantages.As a product of new technology,social media has fully realized people's desire to connect with others,while on the other hand,the information flooding and social overload caused by overconnection has also eroded people's subjectivity like never before,and some people have begun to burn out on social media,and the field of social media fatigue has gradually formed and rapidly expanded.As the perceptions of social media fatigue diverge among different groups,this study selects a specific group as the sample and focuses on the group differences in the social media fatigue field in order to understand the phenomenon of social media fatigue more deeply.This paper takes post-90 s and post-00 s social media users as the research objects,explores the factors affecting social media fatigue and the differences in social media fatigue between the post-90 s and post-00 s groups,extends the analysis of the differences and causes of fatigue between the two groups through the perspective of comparing social media experiences,shows the differences in media development between the two groups in the new era,and provokes thoughts on the differences in media views between the two groups.Combining literature review and in-depth interviews,this paper identifies seven factors influencing social media fatigue,privacy concerns,compulsive use,information overload,herd mentality,social overload,flow experience,and system function overload.Based on the "stressor-strain-outcome" framework,a research model of social media fatigue was constructed and hypotheses were made.693 valid questionnaires were collected through the electronic survey,and SPSS25.0 software was used to analyze and test the hypotheses.The empirical results showed that privacy concerns,system function overload and social overload had significant positive effects on social media fatigue in the post-90 s and post-00 s groups,and the degree of social media fatigue,privacy concerns,system function overload and social overload in the post-90 s group was higher than that in the post-00 s group.There are more circle differences between the two groups in terms of social media use,and the post-00 s group has more positive attitudes towards social media use,is more receptive to "new" social media,and tends to feel "insecure" about the media.The post-90 s group's enthusiasm for social media use is obviously declining,their privacy concerns are deepening,their social media fatigue is higher,and their view of media tends to be rational and self-disciplined,with a middle-of-the-road mindset and lessselfextension.
