In recent years,global food security incidents have occurred frequently,which not only endanger people's health but also cause food panic.Accurately tracking the source of food security incidents is a complex and challenging issue.Since blockchain has technical advantages such as tamper-resistant,traceability,and multi-party consensus,building a food traceability system based on blockchain has become an effective method and an important technical choice to solve food security problems.However,the current food traceability system based on blockchain still has the following problems:(1)Food traceability information comes from a single entity.Only the basic parameters of food products are stored in the blockchain,and the corresponding food quality,characteristics,etc.come from a single entity.(2)The supply chain is broken and hard to be traced.The incumbent traceability process does not involve the supply chain,or only intercepts a partial flow of the supply chain.(3)Information island and lack of transparency.The interaction information among enterprises in the same supply chain is not untrustworthy,and difficult to be interoperable and shared.This thesis proposes to establish a food supply chain traceability system(FSCTS)based on blockchain.The main innovation are embodied as following:(1)A blockchain-based multicenter system architecture is established to realize the on-chain transactions of food storage,processing,logistics,sales,and other enterprises.And a complete food products circulation records jointly maintained by every enterprise on the supply chain are constructed to enhance the transparency and credibility of the information.(2)An event-driven data upload model is designed and functions of food supply chain enterprises transactions association,food information dynamic matching,food traceability query,and personalized fast traceability are provided by implementing corresponding smart contracts.(3)A node reputation quantification mechanism based on historical transaction data analysis is designed to quantify the node's reputation in the system,therefore the selection of reliable transaction nodes and dynamic maintenance of system nodes can be achieved.Based on the above research contents,a multi-center,credible,and fast traceable food supply chain traceability system is built.FSCTS is built based on Hyperledger Fabric.FSCTS can support food warehouses,processors,distributors,and other autonomous entities to conduct transactions on the blockchain,thus a “complete chain,complete cycle,and complete coverage” food supply chain is constructed.Moreover,a complete supply chain information storage and association are established to support efficient and accurate information inquiry and traceability.Finally,through experiments of interactive functions,throughput,and node reputation quantification mechanism simulation,and comparison with the existed representative traceability systems experimental results show that FSCTS has higher reliability and effectiveness than previous traceability systems.
