Display system provides a good man-machine interface for industrial application and control,and is widely used in electronic product design,instrument information display,mechanical automation and other fields.With the development of display industry,FPGA manufacturers continue to integrate more resources in the chip to meet the needs of the market,making it a controller in the display system.In this thesis,the display system is studied.On the domestic FPGA GW1 NSR series development board,a display system using local refresh algorithm for image data storage is built,which realizes the function of fast and efficient image data storage.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:(1)The hardware platform of display system based on "MCU + FPGA" is built.By comparing the performance and characteristics of different MCU,esp32 chip with low power consumption,small size and wireless Bluetooth communication module is used as the wireless receiver of image data,and the image data is sent to FPGA according to SPI protocol.(2)Design the basic module of the display system.Refer to the data manual of MCU and FPGA chip,design the peripheral circuit according to the demand of this product,and design and verify the data acquisition and sending module of FPGA,ensure the normal data input and output of the display system,intuitively observe the display effect,and facilitate the design and verification of subsequent data processing module.(3)A new image data storage algorithm is proposed and designed.The traditional display controller mostly uses "ping-pong operation" in image processing.In this design,a local refresh algorithm of image data is proposed,which requires the main terminal to only send the data of the changed area each time,instead of sending the data of the whole frame area each time,greatly reducing the power consumption and data transmission time of MCU,The embedded high-speed and low-power memory Hyper RAM is used to replace the external multi chip memory.(4)Test and analyze the designed display system products.Other problems encountered in the process of testing are analyzed to solve the problems of image jitter and noise.By calculating the access time of image data,the direct transmission interval of two different images is specified to ensure the image quality.Compared with the display system without local refresh algorithm,this algorithm has the characteristics of higher frame rate and faster refresh speed,which verifies the feasibility of display on large size and high resolution screen.
