In 2017,Hunan Satellite TV launched a new TV variety show "Back to Field".Since then,a "slow" trend has swept the domestic TV variety show market and formed a unique TV variety show type-Slow Variety.Slow Variety Show advocates a slow-paced healthy lifestyle and a positive life attitude full of positive abilities.The program content does not set up complex game links,does not emphasize confrontation and competition,and aims to present the guests' natural state in a relatively relaxed environment.Slow Variety Show,as a new hot program type,has been imitated by major mainstream media: CCTV launched "Readers","Trust in China" and "Hello Life",Hunan Satellite TV launched "The Inn" and "The Chinese Restaurant",Heilongjiang Satellite TV Launched "Letters Alive" and Zhejiang Satellite TV launched "Dream House".Among them,"Back to Field","Readers" and " Letters Alive " not only won the recognition of audiences with an average score of 8.0 or more on Douban,but also received recognition and praise from the party media such as "People's Daily".On October 18,2017,Comrade Xi Jinping pointed out in the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China: It is necessary to cultivate and practice the core values of socialism.Give play to the leading role of socialist core values in national education,the creation of spiritual civilization,and the creation,production and dissemination of spiritual and cultural products,and integrate the core socialist values into all aspects of social development and transform them into people's emotional identity and behavior habits.As a representative of a slow variety show and a spiritual and cultural product,"Back to Field" has the responsibility to shoulder the mission of promoting the core values of socialism and spreading positive energy.This article selects the representative text of "Back to Field" as the research object,and combines the analysis of the program content and the analysis of audience comments to explore the communication effect of mainstream values in the program from both the text and audience levels,and point out the problems in the communication process and propose Development proposals.Answering this question can not only provide a new perspective for the new media phenomenon of slow variety shows,but also show the dissemination,guidance,and influence of TV variety shows on mainstream values from a quantitative perspective.This article is composed of five parts,the content is as follows:The first part explains the background and significance of the research,sorts out and summarizes the existing research results of slow variety shows,finds the innovative points of this article based on the previous research results,and further proposes research questions and research methods.The second part introduces the basic situation of "Back to Field",summarizes the main characteristics of its content,and analyzes its content production context from the three aspects of national policy,market environment and social sentiment.The third part,based on the core socialist values and Chinese excellent traditional values,after making the above values quantifiable and operable through the Rokeach value scale,analyzes the proportion and trend of mainstream values presented in "Back to Field",and restores the overall appearance of the program.The fourth part uses the 1,000 popular comments of "Back to Field" on Douban as a sample to analyze the audience's comments and analyze the effect of the mainstream values in the program.In the fifth part,the article found through research that the proportion of mainstream values in "Back to Field" and the audience's praise rate both showed a downward trend,and the audience's attention was distracted by other content in the program.In response to this phenomenon,this article analyzes the cause of this phenomenon with the help of field theory,and puts forward suggestions for the development of "Back to Field",and then proposes suggestions for the development of similar slow variety shows: slow variety shows should do a good job of economic and social benefits.Only with balanced development can there be better development in the future.
