From Tadio Network To Cable Network

With the founding of the people's Republic of China in 1949,China's broadcasting industry entered a new era.In the 1950 s and1960s,the Communist Party of China organized the whole country to restore the national economy,implemented the party's general line in the socialist transition period,meanwhile,took over and transformed the old China Radio station,created the people's radio station,and built the grass-roots communication system throughout the country.In order to popularize the people's Broadcasting and play the role of propaganda and education among the masses,the Party and the government made great efforts to develop the broadcasting industry.In this period,the party's rural propaganda network,which started with the radio network,and then took the county radio stations as the center,and the rural cable broadcasting network based on the township(town)radio station,was basically completed.At present,most of the researches pay attention to the cable broadcasting network,but ignore the radio network.On the other hand,most of these researches focus on its political propaganda function,and seldom discuss it from the perspective of news history.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the development of radio network in rural areas of China in the 1950 s and 1960 s from the perspective of news history,the transformation from radio network to cable network,as well as the motivation and process of the two settings.Through the methods of Documental Analysis and in-depth interview,this paper studies the transformation of rural radio network from radio network to cable network in China from 1950 s to 1960 s,that is to collect the research results of rural radio network,such as books,yearbooks,memoirs,local chronicles,papers and news reports,and analyze them.At the same time,in rural villages and towns,I visited and had in-depth conversations with radio station operators,broadcasters,correspondents and reporters,and restored the historical situation of radio network and radio network operation.The article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly combs and comments on the historical research,business research,compilation of construction policies and regulations of rural radio network,and defines the concepts of rural radio network,radio network and cable radio network.The second chapter mainly expounds the establishment and development of radio network,through the motivation of the establishment of radio network.In the early 1950 s,the radio network,like a spider web,formed a multi-level,large-scale,wide-ranging and unified propaganda network with radio stations and radios as the link.In the third chapter,because of the smooth development of cable broadcasting station in Jiutai County of Jilin Province in 1952,it provided a model for the development of cable broadcasting network for the whole country.The radio network and cable broadcasting network began to go hand in hand to form a rural broadcast propaganda network,which formed a "Two Networks Parallel" development model,central and local,large and medium-sized,indigenous and foreign,simple and thrifty,from small to large,from point to surface.The fourth chapter mainly focuses on the development advantages and laying of the cable broadcasting network.The cable broadcasting network reached its climax in 1957 and surpassed the development trend of the radio network.The fifth chapter discusses the construction significance of rural broadcasting network from five aspects: rural education and publicity,agricultural production technology,farmers' cultural life,disaster relief,and farmers' daily life services,etc.
