Research On Relationships Of Digitization Ability And Firm Performance Based On Supply Chain Ambidextrity View

With the rapid development of digital technology,a large number of new application scenarios continue to emerge,and "digital disruption" is taking place in all walks of life.Such a disruptive force can create or destroy the entire product line and the entire market overnight.Subverters may appear at any time,which is difficult for traditional enterprises to cope with,and the reshaping of enterprises by digital technology is inevitable.In order to meet the changing needs of the complex business environment and ensure that they win the competitive advantage in the market,more and more enterprises are in urgent need of opening up the road of digital transformation swept by the technology wave.However,how to carry out the transformation to really contribute to the improvement of enterprise performance is an important issue faced by enterprises.Therefore,this paper focuses on the connotation of digitization ability,the structural dimension of digitization ability and the influence mechanism of digitization ability on enterprise transformation performance.This study makes full use of the existing theoretical results to explore the value mechanism of digitization ability.Firstly,based on the grounded theory,the dimensions of digitization ability structure are constructed.On the basis of the dimension research,the scale of digitization ability is developed by combining investigation,interview and expert consultation.Then,based on the IT business value research and dual theory,the introduction of supply chain ambidextrity concept,discussed the digitization ability to the transformation of enterprise performance,mechanism and the influence of supply chain ambidextrity in the intermediary role,and the introduction of environmental uncertainty,enterprise life cycle again situational variables,such as its regulating role in the middle.Finally,the hypothesis model of this study is constructed.This study takes manufacturing enterprises as the research object.Firstly,SPSS and AMOS are used to conduct reliability and validity analysis on digitization ability scale,supply chain ambidextrity scale,environmental uncertainty scale,enterprise life cycle scale and enterprise performance scale.Secondly,correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis are carried out on the hypothesis model through SPSS to test the hypothesis.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)Digitization ability consists of four dimensions: digitization basic ability,digitization analytical ability,digitization application ability and digitization development ability.Moreover,there is a hierarchy among the dimensions of digitization ability.Digitization basic ability is the lowest level of competence,while digitization development ability is the highest level of competence.(2)Digitization ability on supply chain efficiency,flexibility and balance under the perspective of the dual nature of supply chain has significant positive driving effect,and digitization ability has a significant negative driving effect on supply chain ambidextrity from the perspective of combination.However,the influence of digitization analysis ability on supply chain efficiency,digitization development ability on supply chain flexibility and supply chain ambidextrity from the perspective of combination is not significant.Digization basic,analysis,application and development ability have a significant positive driving effect on enterprise performance(market performance and financial performance);Supply chain efficiency and flexibility,supply chain ambidextrity from the perspective of balance has a significant positive driving effect on enterprise performance,while supply chain ambidexterity from the perspective of organization has a significant negative driving effect on enterprise performance.(3)Supply chain ambidextrity plays a partial mediating role between digitization ability and enterprise performance,but supply chain flexibility plays a non-significant mediating role between digitization basic ability and financial performance,and supply chain efficiency plays a non-significant mediating role between digitization analysis ability and financial performance.Environmental uncertainty(environmental dynamism and environmental hostility)has a significant positive moderating effect on the four dimensions of digitization ability and supply chain efficiency and flexibility,supply chain ambidextrity from the perspective of balance and combination.The enterprise life cycle plays a significant negative moderating role in the four dimensions of digitization ability and supply chain efficiency and flexibility,supply chain ambidextrity from the perspective of balance.The enterprise life cycle plays a significant positive moderating role in the four dimensions of digitization ability and the supply chain ambidextrity under the combined perspective.This study enriches the research on the connotation and dimension of digitization ability,and develops digitization ability measurement scale,which provides an operable standard for accurately measuring the level of digitization ability of enterprises.This paper explores the value action mechanism of digitization ability from the perspective of supply chain ambidextrity,reveals the process of the effect of digitization ability on enterprise performance,improves the relevant research theories of digitization ability,and provides operational guidance for the practice of digital transformation of enterprises.
