Since the implementation of the new Postal Law in 2009,private couriers have embarked on a fast track of development,with the volume of shipments soaring from 1.86 billion pieces in2009 to more than 80 billion pieces in 2020,an increase of more than 40 times and creating more than 3 million jobs,which reflects the thriving development of China's digital economy.A good media image of practitioners can promote a positive interaction between practitioners and different subjects such as the media and the public,especially the courier industry as a service industry.Due to the lack of management and poor quality of practitioners,there were many negative news,such as violent sorting,poor service attitude and non-compliance with traffic rules,which once made various negative images of courier boys a social "stereotype".In the past two years,the presence of courier boys at the two sessions of the National People's Congress and national press conferences has gradually drawn the attention of all sectors of society,especially during the new epidemic,the importance of the courier industry has become more prominent.In the post-epidemic era,the coverage of the courier boy tended to be objective and rational,and the unbalanced image of the courier boy was repaired and reshaped.The significance of media image construction is to guide the audience to treat the courier boy group objectively and rationally by constructing a media image that conforms to objective facts and mainstream values on the one hand,and to suggest areas for improvement in the real society through the construction of media image on the other.This paper focuses on the central theme of the realistic meaning of media construction,analyzes the content of news reports on courier boys based on frame theory,clarifies the representation and changes of the media image of courier boys,explores the communication mechanism of the construction of the media image of courier boys with a problem-oriented approach,and proposes feasible construction strategies.At the same time,the construction of the media image of the courier boy,as a representative of the manual worker in the digital labour force,has implications for other "boy groups" in the new digital economy.
