China News Award and Pulitzer Prize award-winning comment represent the highest level of comment writing in China and foreign, and Environmental Review is endowed with unique significance and function because of the seriousness of environmental problems and the in-depth development of environmental communication. From topic’s select to writing, comment articles have strong ideology and communicative color. Therefore,it is analyzed from the perspective of intertextuality to build a bridge between macroscopic view and microcosmic view, and put the stopover in the communication function and discourse function of intertextuality,so as to analyze how news commentary can play a reverse role in constructing social reality while reflecting social reality. The paper selects 20 award-winning environmental reviews of China’s News Award and Pulitzer Prize since their establishment as the research object.Based on the intertextuality theory of Norman Fairclough and Xin bin,the paper makes a comparative analysis of discourse description, discourse presupposition,meta-discourse,genre characteristic intertextuality and discourse style from manifest intertextuality and genre intertextuality. It is found that there are similarities in discourse description and genre intertextuality, but significant differences in discourse presupposition,meta-discourse and discourse structure. At the same time, this paper summarizes the temporal and spatial distribution of intertextuality in China’s News Awards and Pulitzer Prize award-winning environmental comment. On this basis, from the perspective of Journalism and Communication theory, this paper discusses the different communication functions of intertextuality,so as to further link the motivation of social development.
