Our country is in a stage of increasing aging.As the vast majority of the elderly,the empty-nest elderly have gradually become a comprehensive social problem that deserves the attention of all sectors of society.The mainstream media not only provided a platform for the "empty nest elderly" to speak up,their reports on the "empty nest elderly" also affected the public's perception of the empty nest elderly group.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct research on mainstream media reports on the "empty nest elderly".This article takes the People's Daily's news report on the "Empty Nest Elderly" as the research object.Based on the theory of news discourse,this article uses content analysis,literature analysis,and case analysis to explore the formal characteristics of the report content and the characteristics of the discourse construction method.,To elaborate on the existing problems,and propose solutions to the problems,with a view to perfecting future reports on the "empty nest elderly".Through content analysis of the "Empty Nest Elderly" report in "People's Daily",from the perspective of its external representation: the report genre is mostly news,and multiple styles are used in a comprehensive manner;the report is short in length and large in change;the report is in text form Mainly linked to new media with pictures;reports are widely distributed and most important news pages.Judging from the characteristics of the main content: the coverage of the coverage is large,with a large proportion of the east;emphasis on the theme of "government measures" and publicity of the theme of "volunteer assistance to the elderly";highlighting the perspective of material life and taking into account the perspective of spiritual life;the tone of the report is objective and neutral,reflecting the society Reality;the official discourse is prominent in the source of the report,and multiple parties have spoken together.Based on the above-mentioned content analysis characteristics,the discourse construction characteristics of the "Empty Nest Old Man Report" are analyzed,and the analysis is carried out based on the four dimensions of news schema,high-frequency words,discourse style and discourse rhetorical strategies.Different themes use different news schemas.The theme of "Volunteer Helping the Elderly" is simple in structure and straightforward to facts;the theme of "Advice and Suggestions" is straightforward and the background is padded;the theme of"Community Service" emphasizes the plot and vividly reproduces;the theme of "Government Initiatives" presents various aspects Opinions reflect events objectively.From the perspective of high-frequency words,through the use of nouns and verbs,from the perspective of transitivity,the material process is highlighted,and multiple subjects participate.Adjectives express the psychological process of the empty-nest elderly,thus reflecting the implementation effect of various service activities.In terms of discourse style,styles are diverse and flexible,and styles are influenced by tailoring,and each theme is different.In terms of discourse rhetoric strategy,data citation is used to enhance persuasiveness,and the sense of presence is reproduced by quoting discourse.Through the above analysis,it is found that the People's Daily report on the“Empty Nest Elderly” has multiple discourse imbalances and weakening of the empty nest elder's discourse;the reporting model is single and lacks feedback responses;the report layout is scattered and the content is not deep enough,and it proposes a balanced voice Space,enhance the voice of the empty-nest elderly;adjust the reporting mode,strengthen communication and interaction;reasonably set the layout and create high-quality content solutions.
