Research On Interaction Design Of Smart-TV System For The Empty Nest Elderly Home Endowment

The trends of aging and the empty nest elderly in our country are becoming more and more serious.The pension problem of the empty nest elderly has become a social and family vital problem to be solved urgently.In the information era,advanced IOT and intelligent technology have brought new directions and opportunities for home endowment,it will make domestic terminal Smart TV play an increasingly important role at home with the three-nets integration.However,at present,Smart TV is not only lack of innovation of application,it also has problem of poor interactive experience for the empty nest elderly.Such as complicated operation,interface and information hierarchy.In view of these,this paper proposes a solving strategy of Smart TV system for the empty nest elderly home endowment,and puts forward specific and innovative design scheme for the interaction interface and relevant product of Smart TV system through the design practice.The project adopts the design method of user-need-oriented,and concentrates on Smart TV and the empty nest elderly.The aim of this study is to explore home endowment needs of the empty nest elderly and optimize the interactive experience of Smart-TV.In the stage of primary theoretical research,it have an in-depth study on the relevant theories of interaction and user needs,and put forward design method of user-need-oriented for Smart TV interaction design.Then study on the Cognitive Misleading Theory,Cognitive Load Theory,Gestalt principle and relevant design thinking of emotional experience.So that provides the theoretical basis for the design principles.In the stage of investigation,it have a good knowledge of the features for the empty nest elderly in the aspects of physiology,psychology,emotion,behavior habit at home and preference of Smart TV through data collection,field visiting,interview and questionaire etc.After that,it analyzes essential needs of home endowment.Then making a layer-separated analysis for the needs of the empty nest elderly according to Maslow's Needs-Hierarchy Theory,then refine the core needs of empty nest elderly home endowment.In the stage of design practice,firstly,it propose a detailed strategy of Smart TV system for the empty nest elderly home endowment.And then,it propose the design principle on the basis of previous relevant theory research and investigation.According to these strategies,having a professional and creative design for the Smart TV interaction interface and relevant product.Last but not least,do an assessment for the feasibility of system and the visibility of the interface,for the purpose of verifying the design scheme,and take it as the basis for subsequent iterative design.Taking Smart TV as platform of the empty nest elderly household living,it is not only practical and operative,but also enable them get access to the benefits of technology development.Smart TV also plays an important role to improve the quality of home endowment.Old saying goes "Providing the elderly with a sense of security,happiness,belonging and worthiness." That enable this good vision come true,which is of great significance for constructing a happy family and a harmonious society.
