As the text carrier of scientific research knowledge and an important way of scientific communication,academic papers are also realizing digital migration with the rapid development of digital technology.However,as scientific research has entered the information intensive era,the number of academic papers that researchers need to read is growing steadily,and the time they can spend on a single document is becoming less and less.At present,the single,static and linear document presentation mode is difficult to meet the non-linear,fragmented and leaping reading mode of scientific researchers,whose main purpose is to quickly and accurately locate the information needed in academic papers.In this context,the use of functional units can effectively make people read less or selectively,especially when researchers need to use the information and knowledge scattered in the article for specific reading tasks,the selective presentation of strongly related functional units is particularly important.However,the current research on functional units is mainly concentrated in the field of natural science with strong positivity.There is a lack of theoretical research and practical exploration on functional units in the field of humanities.Most of the research focuses on the perspective of theory and developers,and rarely considers the information needs of users in the process of reading academic papers.Therefore,in order to better support the task-based reading of humanities scholars and improve the reading efficiency of users,it is necessary to integrate the theoretical basis of text genre analysis and reading task,and design a reading task oriented functional unit ontology of humanities academic papers.Based on the theory of genre analysis and Sense-Making Theory,this study first realizes the content genre analysis of academic papers in the field of humanities through deep semantic tagging experiments based on the existing move level model of the functional unit of scientific papers.Combined with deep user interviews,this study explores the functional unit requirements of academic papers in the process of academic reading by humanities scholars from the perspective of user's information needs,this paper constructs the function unit ontology of academic papers in the Humanities(APFUOH),which contains 7 first level classes and 21 second level classes.In order to further evaluate the best association between functional unit ontology and humanist's specific reading tasks,this study,based on relevance theory,explores the correlation of various functional units in different reading tasks(searching for specific knowledge,discovering new research topics,understanding background knowledge,referring to specific knowledge,following up research frontiers and realizing knowledge expansion)of humanists through card classification.The results show that the information in academic papers in the field of humanities can be organized and presented in a specific mode combined with reading tasks,so as to facilitate the use of information by readers.Through the analysis,this study finds that:(1)the speculative research of academic papers in the field of humanities is dominant,and humanistic scholars prefer to use qualitative research methods;(2)the frequency of using academic papers in different reading tasks is different,and "reference to specific knowledge" and "follow up the frontier of the field" are the most frequently used;(3)due to the cognitive limitations involved in different reading tasks;(4)Different cognitive ability and attention lead to different priorities of various functional units in different reading tasks;(5)Due to the differences in the research objects and methods of academic papers in literature,history and philosophy,there are also differences in the use patterns of functional units of users in different disciplines.Through the construction of the functional units of academic papers in the field of Humanities and their optimal correlation with specific reading tasks,this study,on the one hand,makes up for the weakness of the existing step level model in expressing the arguments of academic papers in the field of humanities.On the other hand,based on the best relationship between reading tasks and functional units,we hope to present the most relevant texts in academic papers to scholars in the field of humanities,rather than the whole article,so as to improve the effect and efficiency of scholars in the field of Humanities in knowledge acquisition,understanding and utilization,and their preference for the use of functional units in academic papers reading A more in-depth understanding of the nature of information retrieval system is also helpful to provide some suggestions for the functional design of information retrieval system and academic paper reading system.
