From "Canal On The Mountain" To "Dream Realization Project":Research On Discourse Space And Social Memory Of The Yintao Project

The Yintao Project is the largest trans-basin water diversion project in the history of water conservancy construction in Gansu Province since the founding of New China.Focusing on the history of two engineering constructions successively,this article analyzes how the government,the media,and the folk use different memory practices and discourse strategies under the framework of social memory theory,and finally shaped different "yintao" memory faces.In the introduction part of the article,the research background is introduced and research questions are raised.The first chapter reviews and sorts out the development and research status of social memory theory,and explains that the current memory research is undergoing a communication turn,and academic horizons are gradually becoming diversified.The second chapter is about the "official memory" of the Yintao Project.The government used the methods of establishing models,compiling experience,and writing practice to shape the memory.Through the successful construction of the " dream realization project " this intention,the two pieces of history were harmoniously coordinated."Continuation and Break" is the official memory strategy.The third chapter is "Media Memory".The "Yintao" report text of Gansu Daily is selected as the research object,and the quantitative report frame analysis and qualitative discourse analysis are carried out to point out the different discourse themes in the two periods.The media adopts the discourse transformation mode,metaphor and metonymy mode respectively;the story frame of "hero" and the story frame of "comparison between present and past",and "highlighting and covering" is the main memory strategy used by the media.The fourth chapter is "folk memory",which mainly includes the oral narration and memory of people who witnessed Yintao and the memory writing and participation in the Internet space.On the basis of presenting the appearance of folk memory,it puts forward the reflection and value appeal of folk memory.The conclusion summarizes the results of the research and proposes thinking and prospects from the dimensions of discourse space,memory frame,memory medium,etc.,and puts forward the challenge of " Yintao " to remember the reality,and it also conceals the huge possibility of recreating social unity.This article believes that this project dedicated to solving the drought in Gansu is to a large extent a historical reprint of the Chinese Communist Party's leadership of the masses to carry out production and construction,and it continues the entire set of operating modes of the ruling party in the construction of major national projects.The official has connected two historical periods with the image of "realization of dreams" and formed a logical and self-consistent discourse system;the memory writing of the media uses a variety of rhetorical techniques and forms a connection between engineering construction and national policies;the folk memory of history is full of "sorrows",and its writing behavior makes "the glimmer of memory" always float in the public field of vision,instead of dispersing into the dust of history.In the end,historical memories continue to accumulate in the negotiation and competition between all parties.
