This dissertation takes the rear waves as the research object,and observes their transitions on different We-Media platforms and the underlying reasons behind them.We-Media industry has undergone multiple changes: The center of the communication ecology reappeared again,the organization of the communication structure appeared again,the form of communication changed from pictures to short videos,and the profit model changed from single to multiple.Through an ethnographic survey of We-Media people represented by Y,we found that rear waves have devoted themselves to the creation of We Chat official accounts,Baijia accounts,Douyin short videos,and We Chat video accounts.Through the coding and analysis of the interview content,it is found that the We-Media rear waves as experienced four stages: imagination,discipline,separation,and resistance.In the face of reality and embarrassment,they have imagined time and space freedom,organizational freedom,and financial freedom in the Wemedia industry;after entering the We-media platform,they are faced with the platform's discipline.On the one hand,the platform explicitly disciplines rear waves by formulating rules,and on the other hand,it disciplines creators' time and labor behavior through implicit rules.Since the imagination of the media creators is broken,facing the identity separation from the head account,they try a positive response strategy,and can only withdraw passively after receiving no response.We-Media's career path and platform selection is a looping and nesting process.Behind the seemingly free choice is the flow of technology and capital.
