Research On The Cross Media Transformation Of Livelihood News From The Perspective Of Narratology

People’s livelihood has always been a topic of high concern to the Party and the country.As an epitome of social development and people’s life in China,people’s livelihood news can serve as a moderator of contradictions between different classes to a certain extent.Diversified means of communication provide opportunities for the development of livelihood news,but also bring challenges.It is particularly important for People’s Livelihood News to give full play to its advantages in content production based on new media platforms and achieve gorgeous innovation and transformation by relying on cross-media platforms.Based on the theory of narratology,this paper aims to talk about the transition from the presentation of stories and discourses on the cross-media platforms of livelihood news.Through selecting the news reports on Weibo,We Chat and Douyin platform of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Livelihood News program "1818 Golden Eye" and "Xiaoqiang Hotline" from September 2018 to September 2020,the effective content was analyzed diachrically.By means of comparative research,content analysis,in-depth interview and other research methods,this paper firstly analyzes the narrative issues and narrative styles of the two livelihood news programs,mainly explores the similarities and differences between the two programs in the level of discourse and story in news reports,and summarizes the narrative arrangements of different livelihood news reports.Moreover,based on the cross-media narrative theory,this paper explores how the two news programs construct livelihood news stories based on the attributes of multimedia platforms,and presents the innovation of narrative reports in terms of discourse style and narrative mode.The research finds that,in the context of fragmentation and visual transformation,the cross-media narration of livelihood news finds a balance between seriousness and interest,and adapts to the thinking of the audience of fragmentation and rapid reading of news.However,in the process of media narration,such problems as the singleness of narrative subject and the lack of narrative communication become increasingly apparent.Therefore,on the basis of the existing research,this paper tries to put forward suggestions for transformation.For example,in the transmedia narrative process of livelihood news,Prop’s character function theory can be used to enrich the news narrative mode and advocate the change of content from small people’s livelihood to large people’s livelihood.In addition,people’s livelihood news programs should make good use of cross-media platforms,strengthen the deep integration between old and new media,and attach importance to the narrative communication between the two sides,so as to promote the communication transformation.
