This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction introduces the research background,research status,research methods and research significance.The first chapter is to clarify the background of cultural symbols used in the construction of Shenyang city image,through literature analysis of the status quo of Shenyang City,the role of cultural symbols in the construction of Shenyang city image.The second chapter is the investigation and analysis of Shenyang city image perception and cultural symbol recognition.This chapter through the questionnaire survey method,content analysis method,data statistics method of research methods for analysis and research,according to the principles of cultural symbols,select 12 cultural symbols for investigation,finally the highest recognition of industrial cultural symbols as Shenyang symbolic cultural symbols,the third chapter is the problems and suggestions of cultural symbol communication in the construction of Shenyang city image.In the investigation and analysis of the previous chapter,we find that the following two problems will affect the communication of cultural symbols in the construction of city image.First,the influence of cultural environment on the city image of Shenyang does not match the actual cultural environment of Shenyang.The public thinks that the key factor affecting the image of Shenyang City is the cultural environment,but the public's actual perception of the cultural environment of Shenyang is low,which indicates that the cultural atmosphere of Shenyang is not strong enough and the construction of cultural atmosphere is not paid attention to.Second,in the analysis of Shenyang's cognitive approach,it shows that the public's cognition of Shenyang is mostly through interpersonal communication,which indicates that the publicity of Shenyang's city image and cultural symbols is less,and the publicity is not enough.Then,from the perspective of communication and semiotics,this paper puts forward corresponding strategies for these two problems,which are to enhance the content communication power of cultural symbols and combine online and offline,multi-media and various forms of communication.
