Research On The Framework Of People’s Daily’s 2020 "Two Sessions" Report

The "two sessions" refer to the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.They are important meetings where members discuss state affairs.With the development of media technology,domestic and foreign media coverage of the "two sessions" has become more and more diversified.As the official newspaper of the CPC Central Committee,People’s Daily is the most authoritative and influential national newspaper in China.Over the years,it has paid special attention to the reports of the "Two Sessions".This paper selects the reports of the "Two Sessions" of People’s Daily as the research object,uses content analysis method to sort out the reports in the "Two Sessions Special Issue" of People’s Daily in 2020,analyzes its reporting framework,and discusses the enlightenment brought by the reports of "Two Sessions" of People’s Daily to other media.In this paper,176 reports in the "Special Issue of the Two Sessions" of People’s Daily in 2020 are taken as the research samples.Through quantitative and qualitative research,the report content is taken as the text and the framework theory is supported.Ten categories,including time and quantity of the report,length of the report,layout of the report,form of the report,source of the news,field of the report,content of the report,genre of the report,object of the report and tendency of the report,are constructed and quantified for statistics and analysis.The author found that People’s Daily reported more on the "Two Sessions".The layout of the report is relatively uniform;The form and genre of the report are gradually diversified;Topics covered include politics,economy,epidemic prevention and control,science,technology and culture,social development,ecological civilization and other fields.The report tends to stick to the positive;News reports adhere to the characteristics of originality.On the basis of the content analysis of the research samples,the author obtains the reporting framework of People’s Daily for the "two sessions" : namely,the content framework is centered on the current political hot spots;To grasp the correct direction of public opinion on the cognitive framework;Adhere to the orientation of people’s livelihood in the emotional framework.Finally,through a comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis,this paper discusses the enlightenment that People’s Daily’s "Two Sessions" report brings to other media’s reports: in terms of media function framework,we should plan news reports according to media positioning;Public opinion guidance frame should propagate the mainstream ideology;In terms of the framework of the agenda,we need to comprehensively reflect the concerns of people’s livelihood.
