Narrative Research Of The "People's Life" Column Of People's Daily Overseas Edition(2017-2020)

With the increasing number of media communication activities and the deepening of the practice of "telling Chinese stories well ",more and more media have changed the strategy of grand narration to the story of ordinary people and replaced the high preaching with civilian narration.This practice not only accords with the cognitive habits of overseas audiences,but also has achieved good results in overseas communication.The study of the narrative characteristics of the media in China and the summary of the experience and lessons of the media telling Chinese stories have become an important part of the research on the narrative subject of news in the new era.This research aims at this research direction,proposes "People's Daily Overseas Edition" The proposition of the study of narrative characteristics of sentient beings.Based on Fang Yihua's news narrative theory,this study mainly adopts the methods of text analysis and content research to conduct in-depth analysis and Research on all the reports of the people's Daily Overseas Edition from 2017 to 2020,and summarizes the three micro level characteristics of narrator,narrative perspective and narrative discourse,From the macro level,it provides practical guidance and suggestions for other media to report the characters in the external communication.Based on Fang Yihua's news narrative theory,this study mainly adopts the methods of text analysis and content research to conduct in-depth analysis and Research on all the reports of the people's Daily Overseas Edition from 2017 to 2020,and summarizes the three micro level characteristics of narrator,narrative perspective and narrative discourse,From the macro level,it provides practical guidance and suggestions for other media to report the characters in the external communication.The beginning of this paper is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,significance and innovation of this paper.The main part of the article analyzes the narrator,narrative perspective and narrative discourse of "all beings".First of all,when analyzing the narrators in the column of "all beings",the study found that the column intentionally avoided a single subject narrative,with reporters and editors as the main public narrators,supplemented by hidden narrators and absent narrators;Secondly,in the analysis of narrative perspective,it is found that the use of perspective in this column focuses on diversification and compounding,which is not only reflected in the full use of various perspectives in different reports,but also reflected in the conversion of multiple perspectives in the same report,which can not only complement each other,but also make the characters and stories fuller;Finally,the research on the narrative discourse of this column is mainly from three aspects: narrative time,narrative structure and narrative rhetoric.The research shows that the characteristics of this column are as follows: in terms of time,the column is very flexible in the use of time sequence,duration and frequency,and is good at using various elements to grasp the rhythm of the report;Structurally,the narrative structure of the column highlights the theme of the report with the combination of core satellite events,and connects the event sequence with the flexible use of characters,time and causality;Rhetorically,the column reveals the essence of news by "telling the truth" and highlights the media position by "telling the truth".Finally,on the basis of the previous micro level research,this paper points out the narrative characteristics and shortcomings of the character reports of "all living beings",and draws the enlightenment for China's foreign media character reports:civilian perspective,news story,establishing "narrative authority",turning to neutral position,shaping a variety of characters,reflecting the reality of China.
